How many networks does Time Warner own? They've got a good solid chunk of that business too right? Such that once AT&T buys them, they not only own all the TV providers but a large chunk of the networks?

Isnt that what Comcast NBC is?

Breaking with longstanding US Presidential tradition of taking questions from the press in China as a message about free speech and free media, Trump lets China dictate that no questions be asked.

Remember when he was going to get so tough on China, declare them a currency manipulator and kick off a trade war?

"We can't continue to allow China to rape our country and that's what they're doing. It's the greatest theft in the history of the world," Trump told a campaign crowd in May 2016.

Reminder that John Kelly is an awful person who wants to deport as many people as possible and allow in "between 0 and 1" refugees.

White House chief of staff tried to pressure acting DHS secretary to expel thousands of Hondurans, officials say

On Monday, as the Department of Homeland Security prepared to extend the residency permits of tens of thousands of Honduran immigrants living in the United States, White House Chief of Staff John F. Kelly called Acting Secretary Elaine Duke to pressure her to expel them, according to current and former administration officials.

Duke refused to reverse her decision and was angered by what she felt was a politically driven intrusion by Kelly and Tom Bossert, the White House homeland security adviser, who also called her about the matter, according to officials with knowledge of Monday’s events, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal deliberations.

From a tweet I read earlier

“Our mistake is believing that Trump thought rape was bad”

It's unfortunate that they haven't bothered to enforce antitrust laws against vertical integration in decades, but it does make this one particular instance stick out especially when they're allowing the Sinclair-Tribune deal to sail through that will bring sub-Fox News level of right wing propaganda to your local news.

Trump's bodyguard testified that the Russians offered Trump five prostitutes when he was in Moscow in 2013, but swears he turned them down.

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/trump-...ed-down-n819386

WASHINGTON — After a business meeting before the Miss Universe Pageant in 2013, a Russian participant offered to "send five women" to Donald Trump's hotel room in Moscow, his longtime bodyguard told Congress this week, according to three sources who were present for the interview.

Two of the sources said the bodyguard, Keith Schiller, viewed the offer as a joke, and immediately responded, "We don't do that type of stuff."

Trump absolutely does that type of stuff.

Piss tape is real.

Whitefish's repair work has failed, dropping the island back to only 18% generating capacity

http://www.cnn.com/2017/11/09/us/puerto-ri...tage/index.html

That 18% doesn't mean 18% of people have power. It means 18% of total possible power is being generated and distributed. It's mainly going to critical facilities like hospitals, meaning few homes actually have power nearly two months after the storm hit.

The joke is on Trump, huge chunks of Puerto Rico are now moving into the mainland US. So instead of fixing the problem there, thousands of people are moving into the continental 48 where they will do things like vote against him.

The Joke's on you for thinking that. They're brown and we have ways to stop that. Puerto Rican birth certificates from before 2010 won't get you a valid voter ID and the government that could replace those documents has been destroyed.

Puerto Ricans residing on the mainland can vote in federal elections. Yet while participation in elections is above 80% on the island, once Puerto Ricans move, their voting rates drop, due in part to barriers to participation caused by voter suppression policies that must be changed. For example, in states requiring photo voter ID, Puerto Rican birth certificates issued prior to 2010 are not accepted to get the identification needed to vote. Post-Maria, it is going to be impossible for the Puerto Rican government to provide enough updated birth certificates so her people may vote. Furthermore, there are costs associated, and no one should pay for an updated photo ID to vote.

In addition to modern-day poll taxes, Puerto Ricans may be subject to modern-day English literacy tests. Section 4(e) of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 requires that Puerto Ricans be provided with bilingual ballots and assistance at the polls, as they are U.S. citizens who have been educated in Spanish. Many jurisdictions are not in compliance. Litigation to enforce Section 4(e) has been successful in certain counties in Florida, Illinois, New Jersey, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, and at the state level in Massachusetts and New York; however, other counties with significant Puerto Rican populations still run English-only elections, and compromise the ability of Puerto Ricans to fully exercise their political power. In these places, recent arrivals from the island have been unable to register to vote because the form is in English only. For those who can register, it can be very difficult to fully understand the ballot and voting instructions in English; yet as U.S. citizens, there is no requirement for Puerto Ricans to learn English in order to vote.

A government hired agency was extremely overpaid and didn't complete the work?. Tomorrow you will tell me the sky is blue.

The Red Cross did it during Sandy, it happens everywhere, it's why people join politics.

Much like his travel ban, Trump popping off about CNN being fake news and his desire for the justice department to go after his perceived enemies, could work against him if the ATT/ Time Warner merger goes to court legal experts are saying. Or I should say, many people are saying.....believe me.

No offense, but the joke is on the people whose livelihood has been completely decimated.

Mueller Probes Flynn’s Role in Alleged Plan to Deliver Cleric to Turkey

Under alleged plan, ex-Trump adviser and his son were to be paid millions to forcibly remove Fethullah Gulen from U.S. and deliver him to Turkish custody

So, basically a kidnapping plot?

The current state of US politics is like if someone got Tom Clancy drunk and had him watch James Bond and Austin Powers marathons.

Mueller Probing Pre-Election Flynn Meeting with Pro-Russia Congressman

WASHINGTON — Investigators for Special Counsel Robert Mueller are questioning witnesses about an alleged September 2016 meeting between Mike Flynn, who later briefly served as President Donald Trump’s national security adviser, and Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, a staunch advocate of policies that would help Russia, two sources with knowledge of the investigation told NBC News.

The meeting allegedly took place in Washington the evening of Sept. 20, while Flynn was working as an adviser to Trump’s presidential campaign. It was arranged by his lobbying firm, the Flynn Intel Group. Also in attendance were Flynn’s business partners, Bijan Kian and Brian McCauley, and Flynn’s son, Michael G. Flynn, who worked closely with his father, the sources said.

Mueller is reviewing emails sent from Flynn Intel Group to Rohrabacher’s congressional staff thanking them for the meeting, according to one of the sources, as part of his probe into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.

Rohrabacher, a California Republican, has pushed for better relations with Russia, traveled to Moscow to meet with officials and advocated to overturn the Magnitsky Act, the 2012 bill that froze assets of Russian investigators and prosecutors. The sources could not confirm whether Rohrabacher and Flynn discussed U.S. policy towards Russia in the alleged meeting.

Mueller’s interest in the nature of Flynn and Rohrabacher’s discussion marks the first known time a member of Congress could be wrapped into the investigation.

Julia Ioffe with DMs from Don Trump Jr. and Wikileaks:

https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archiv...kileaks/545738/

Just before the stroke of midnight on September 20, 2016, at the height of last year’s presidential election, the Wikileaks Twitter account sent a private direct message to Donald Trump Jr., the Republican nominee’s oldest son and campaign surrogate. “A PAC run anti-Trump site putintrump.org is about to launch,” Wikileaks wrote. “The PAC is a recycled pro-Iraq war PAC. We have guessed the password. It is ‘putintrump.’ See ‘About’ for who is behind it. Any comments?” (The site, which has since become a joint project with Mother Jones, was founded by Rob Glaser, a tech entrepreneur, and was funded by Progress for USA Political Action Committee.)

The next morning, about 12 hours later, Trump Jr. responded to Wikileaks. “Off the record I don’t know who that is, but I’ll ask around,” he wrote on September 21, 2016. “Thanks.”
