Nah, just growing tired of the minute by minute overreaction circle jerk on this board.

Get used to it. There are a lot of liberals/Democrats that are paying attention to ALL (real and fake) news now.

Before the election, roughly 85% favored Trump or was anti-Clinton (17 of top 20 stories the last months of the election).

That might be down to 60-65% Trump-favoring and the rest from the left.

On the other hand, it remains to be seem whether making Liz Warren even more of a hero to the left will backfire.

"It won't personally affect me" isn't a good reason not to care about something, anyway.

There's an entire party built on this philosophy that somehow conned the people the most in need of help into giving them complete control of everything.

That's be the democratic party. Exhibit A, Chicago. Exhibit B, Cook.

Trump really must want to lose the immigration ban appeal...

"I will be speaking at 9:00 A.M. today to Police Chiefs and Sheriffs and will be discussing the horrible, dangerous and wrong decision....

If the U.S. does not win this case as it so obviously should, we can never have the security and safety to which we are entitled. Politics!"

7 days into their administration they canceled the visas of somewhere between 60-100,000 people who held legal visas, detained hundreds of people at airports with no warning for several days, ordered DHS to seize and investigate people's social media accounts upon entry to the country, and in the process wound up sweeping up travelers from a variety of other countries and even U.S. citizens if they also had backgrounds in those countries.

Please, continue.

The DHS says the riskier boarder is the Canadian border. Trump may have to have Canada build us another wall.

I've spent some time in the Boundary Waters / Quetico area, where Minnesota and Ontario meet. That who section from Lake Superior to Lake of the Woods is 90% wilderness, and the border is on water. Before 9/11 ever happened, I remember remarking to people when we'd canoe across the border that if you really wanted to sneak someone or something into or out of the US, that's where you'd do it. Just need a boat, really. Unlike the desert, there's plenty of drinkable water to be had, and zero border patrol. I've probably been in BWCA/Quetico a dozen times in my life for usually a week at a shot, and I think I maybe talked to a Ranger once. And we went out of our way to talk to them.

My wife and I may or may not have discussed this exact escape plan into Canada recently...

Back when Obama signed 19 EOs his first 12 days in office, Trump tweeted he was on a power trip. Trump signed 18 in 12 days.

Everything this guy criticizes other for, he is guilty of. You can go right down the line. From Romney's reluctance to releasing his taxes to Obama's EOs, to people being fat, to giving people advice about leaving cheating partners, to lying. He has them all beat.

Contending that a US president has wide powers to control who comes into the United States, Trump read from US law and declared that even a "bad high school student" would rule in his favor.

"This isn't just me. This is for Obama, for Ronald Reagan, for the President. This was done, very importantly, for security," Trump said. "It was done for the security of our nation, for the security of our citizens, so people don't come in who are going to do us harm. That is why is was done. It couldn't have been written more precisely."

If security and not letting people in was so damn important to Trump, why did he spend the 2 days after he was inaugurated at parties and not enforce this ban immediately?

Or was this just like the fraudulent voting? 3 million-5 million fraudulent votes, all democrat. The only bad people get in when his ban was lifted.

He's laying the groundwork to blame the judiciary if/when there's some sort of attack.

That's gonna be the worst. At some point, there will be an attack by a Muslim. And he will just get so excited and use it to back up all of his EOs. Even if it ends up being an American born, internet-radicalized person who reached the tipping point BECAUSE of Trump.

The argument was giving a warning would allow a bunch of bad hombres in...

Yet they had 7+ days and Miller had already finished the order. Why knowingly endanger the US since they claim there was actionable (yet secret, of course) intelligence? "Take my word on it."

Thank you, I had not seen that. Post edited.

This is exactly why the minute-by-minute stuff has to stop. Not only do you get yourself all worked up over false news (love by the way how you and others rail against dumb Trump supporters for this and yet you've fallen for this twice, the other being his imminent attack on LGBTs that never happened), but you also give credence to his bulls*** attacks against the media for being wrong/unfair. His dumb supporters watch/listen to you and the media that covers and complains about these false stories and then they justify their belief that ALL media is wrong/bulls***.

Looking pretty doubtful the Trump admin even vetted that list of 78 "terrorist" incidents.

Deadspin had a great post yesterday where they put together clips of "the media" covering 75 of the 78.

Has anyone asked his admn yet why they chose those 78? I assume the response is going to be that they didn't mean the media didn't cover the stories at all, just that they didn't stress the terrorist angle enough.
