brett is someone's bot, right?

He's just a sad dude. I can understand feeling helpless in America the last many years, especially as you watch your town's real estate and wealth go belly up. Unfortunately for him, the people who killed that area are about to be back in charge, and its going to suck for him. I feel bad honestly.

I don't care an iota about race outside of the one we all are a part of...the human race.

Yes, liberals over the past 8 years have been making gains in the highest positions in government. Oh wait. That's the opposite of what has been happening.

https://www.google.com/#q=gains+made+by+reb...ns+last+8+years

I don't know if this is the last chance for Liberals for the foreseeable future. Wouldn't be shocked however.

Youre talking about the past, I am talking about the future. Republican's are terrified, that is why they refused to vote on Garland, its why they continually harp on "voter fraud", its why as of today there is not even close to a consensus on how to replace Obamacare.

In 1775 Im sure that there people in England saying "Who cares that the colonies want to be represented, weve never lost a war to a colony before."

Times they are a changing and you can thank Trump for opening Pandora's box. I honestly believe that one day people will look back on Trump's election with the belief he did more for the liberal platforms than Hillary being elected ever could have.

If any normal person would have been the Republican candidate, you wouldnt have gotten this backlash. But Trump has decided he wants to make enemies with the majority of the population, he wants to make enemies of the judiciary, enemies of anyone who ever has the audacity to question him.

Guys like that eventually find themselves on the wrong side of history.

Trump brings up vote fraud again, this time in meeting with senators

He's now claiming that "thousands" of MA residents illegally voted in NH.

The president claimed that he and Ayotte both would have been victorious in the Granite State if not for the “thousands” people who were “brought in on buses” from neighboring Massachusetts to “illegally” vote in New Hampshire.

According to one participant who described the meeting, “an uncomfortable silence” momentarily overtook the room.

Hillary Clinton narrowly won New Hampshire’s four electoral votes over Trump by nearly 3,000 votes. Ayotte’s margin of defeat was even slimmer: 743 votes.

Crazy people with a poor grasp on reality now run our country.

Be thankful. If he wasnt such a cluster, he may actually get things done. As it is, hes likely to keep re-litigating the past and not be able to move forward. He makes Bush look like a rocket scientist, because at least Bush understood there was nothing to gain by arguing about something he won.

Nah, time is on liberals side. Every year America becomes more diverse, less white. Look at the numbers, Trump did horrific with non-whites.

This is your last stand, your battle of the bulge. Yes there was a setback, but liberals will still win the day eventually.

Those graphs have to be terrifying to you, unless you think "whites no degree" are the future of the USA?

Yup, this election was the boomers' final "f*** you, get off my lawn" to the future that's passed them by.

At least one month in we've reached a point where no one save coal miners and brett take this f***ing clown seriously.

Don't discount all the kids who were brainwashed by their Boomer parents who then turned around and brainwashed their kids. And I feel that it's mostly a rural/exurban vs. urban/suburban dynamic in play where generational impacts may not be as pronounced going forward.

As I posted earlier, 51% of his supporters believe in the Bowling Green Massacre lie. We're not dealing with rational people.

So is Trump saying he plans on drafting a newer, shinier travel ban that he will sign next week?

This one will probably stick. So much of the decision against this was regarding the incompetence and communications of Trump. There is a lot of area to make immigration restrictions, if they eff this up again, it will be incredible.

He plays golf with Abe at Mar-A-Lago (act now, you too can play the same course as the president, before membership fees triple rather than just double!) and everything's fixed?

Japan is paying more for its defense, and not trying to get US troops removed from their base in Okinawa? Otani's posting fee is taken care of as well?

Protests block DeVos in Washington

"I respect peaceful protest, and I will not be deterred in executing the vital mission of the Department of Education," the statement said. "No school door in America will be blocked from those seeking to help our nation's school children."

Add punchline comparing her efforts to school integration in AR, MS and AL in 1950's and 60's.

I'm glad you and Steve brought this up because I do hope this is the last stand for people who are racists, against the LGBT community, who refuse to retrain in something when their industry is dead or is dying and for some baby boomers who did what you and him both brought up. I was thinking the other day how I hoped the old people in congress would be phased out with progressive leaders who actually work together across the aisle and compromise. And I hope that racism and discrimination becomes eradicated in the next generation. Plus, I would hope that old industries become obsolete with automation and the next generation becomes educated to the point where those who don't adapt will be forced to adapt or fall behind. I think that is logical, but if that is too liberal, I am sorry.

I still don't know why he hasn't just passed things through congress instead. He could keep signing EO's but of course they'll be challenged. (Not that they couldn't be in congress.) Let's see what Tweetler does, hopefully nothing too mainstream that will make him popular, as I am enjoying his unfavorable rating and general public perception.

He's doing a great job of waking up and uniting the opposition. Eventually the bible thumpers will figure out the only thing trump likes about church is that it kept his wife busy while he cheated on her. Once he loses that piece, its trouble.

I can't imagine going through this (mother separated from 2 American-born kids) deportation protest 800,000 times is going to sit well with the Catholic Church.

The Pope is much more popular than Trump...and it's going to drive almost every Hispanic-American to the left.

The 20-30% of voters in the middle will have to choose a side.

Right now, it's probably 25-30% strongly for and 40% strongly against.
