I could see why they would pitch him or even Price before Sale (Porcello being CY Young winner, Price the guy they are paying to be an ace) even though Sale is better.

Truth being told, bringing Danks back wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. Let him suck up innings and teach some of these kids how to act like a big leaguer. I know his career took a big downward turn after the shoulder surgery, but he was the consummate professional. He took his turn every five days, he took ownership of his body of work, he didn't try to blame someone else for his downfall, and he never caused any problems while he was here.

Quintana would have to be dealt to even entertain this scenario.
