Harry Chappas
QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Aug 9, 2017 -> 11:50 AM) In his chat today Dave Cameron said that if the Yankees make the wildcard game they should start Chapman and have the bullpen pitch the whole game and save Severino for Game 1 of the ALDS. I'd love to see that happen. Buck Showalter thinks that is a dumb idea.
LittleHurt05
QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Aug 9, 2017 -> 11:50 AM) In his chat today Dave Cameron said that if the Yankees make the wildcard game they should start Chapman and have the bullpen pitch the whole game and save Severino for Game 1 of the ALDS. I'd love to see that happen. We are not far from that happening in a playoff game, just look at how Andrew Miller was used last year. Looking at the Astros rotation this week, Chris Devenski has to pitch 2+ innings in every playoff game it seems.

I'd love to see that happen. Maybe have their best guy go about 3 innings, and then try to get by with the pen. Or go with their second and third best starter and have them go 2-3 innings each. WhiteSoxfan1986
It's unreal how unlucky the Nationals have been with injuries. Eaton out for the season, Werth/Turner/Taylor miss significant time. Strasburg on the DL and now this. Thankfully for them that division is awful and he should be back for October.
Quin
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 9, 2017 -> 12:29 PM) Cause he is still owed $157 million through age 40 for the next 6 seasons. He is aging well so far, but it would be risky to take that deal on. His season is right now better than his MVP season. That's absurd. He'll make for a fun HOF argument. Chi Town Sox
QUOTE (SoxAce @ Aug 15, 2017 -> 07:14 AM) Already a 1 WAR player at age 20 with a month + left in the season.. Crazy. Related but unrelated. I traded Bryce Harper in a keeper league for Quintana, Cole, Kimbrel, Iglesias (players to help win this year) but also got Bellinger and Devers (both legit keeper options to help win this year and in the future). I was hesitating to trade one of the best players on the planet but these two guys are STUDS.
Panerista
Aaron Judge has been horrible since the home run derby. Only batting .184 with a strikeout in 30+ consecutive games.

Literally no one is pointing out major swing flaws from him, and his contact/HR/Fly ball rates were all screwy in the first half.
Panerista
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 16, 2017 -> 08:53 AM) Home Run Derby ruins swings or simple regression? Agreed. Mostly the latter. The fact is, people do the derby because of their torrid first half pace. A lot of them regress, but that's expected in 162 game season.
