caulfield12
Berrios has been pretty much the complete opposite of his 2016 MLB version...they might have promoted him too quickly, but it seemed it worked for his learning curve the second time around. flavum
QUOTE (Jerksticks @ May 21, 2017 -> 09:18 PM) Crazy. Think we got this? Nah. I'm sure after 81, the Indians will have the lead, and Twins and Tigers will be a few games behind. Royals and Sox getting ready to trade. caulfield12
QUOTE (Benchwarmerjim @ May 27, 2017 -> 07:42 PM) The Minnesota Twins are going to be in first place on Memorial Day. That is nuts. But also the case two seasons ago...before fading. That was even more surprising. One has to think the Indians will eventually wake up and talent will win out, especially their bullpen advantages. Also causes a dilemma about trading Santana, Dozier and Santiago...or even Kintzler at max value. Edited May 28, 2017 by caulfield12
southsider2k5
Danny Duffy out 6-8 weeks with oblique injury https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2017/05/dann...que-strain.html
caulfield12
Well, that wipes Duffy out of the trade market. One less left-handed starter. Erwin Santana (assuming Twins collapse), Greinke (depending on how the DBacks play and how desperate they are to dump that contract), Dan Straily, Ivan Nova, Marco Estrada, Samardzija, Jason Vargas, Triggs (A's), Hellickson, Ramirez (Angels), Darvish, Archer, G.Cole, Cueto, Holland, Jaime Garcia, Andriese and Cobb all have better WHIP numbers than Q (of those who are realistic trade possibilities). Jose is 41st, with a 1.30 WHIP. Tampa Bay is in a very vexing position for management to pick a direction...especially with their overhanging stadium issues. caulfield12
It's now June and odds are pretty good the Indians hold first place for most of the remaining season...can't believe the Twins can recover from the past week or so....actually looking/feeling kind of similar to the White Sox implosion last year. Benchwarmerjim
The way the AL Central is going, the Twins will probably fall out of first, but still hand around until August. That bullpen is as stinky as the Tigers.

greg775
The Royals with this pathetic team of theirs is 2 games out in the Central. But we couldn't compete this year for this crap division title? If I was Jerry I'd be concerned at what leadership has designed.
