CubKilla
Delgado = AL MVP? I think so. Good to see ShamME's 2 HR night get overshadowed on ESPN by Delgado's 4 HR effort .
witesoxfan
I don't know about anyone else, but I personally thought Delgado's bat toss was pretty funny. I was LMAO. As far as the AL MVP is concerned, it has to go to either Delgado or Stewart....no one else even is close to deserving it. You can look up the stats all you want....without those two players on their teams, the Twins finish in 3rd place behind KC and us(who finish in first by probably about 5-10 games), and the Blue Jays would probably end the current streak of same place finishes in consecutive seasons(I believe this is like the 4th or 5th straight year the AL East has ended up as Yankees-Red Sox-Blue Jays-Orioles-DRays, in that order). SHANNON STEWART???? HE wont even get a vote. It looks like Delgado is a lock, after the 4 home runs.

That, and the fact that he actually has single-handedly resurrected the Twins

Shannon Stewart is an average baseball player at best. Yes he helped the twins win, so what? He is not mvp worthy, or even CLOSE, and the voters realize that....... Bmr31
Lets be realistic people. Stewart has played 71 games with the twins, if you project just his twin numbers over the regular season, theyre not impressive, .325 BA 13 HR 80 RBI 89 RUNS 7 SB MVP?????? PLEASE................... HighHeat45
Ok guys last night on "The Best Damn Sports Show Period" they had AJ Pierzinski on and he said that either stewart and GUARDADO should be considered for AL MVP. I almost died of laughter

YASNY
I think a legitimate case can be made for Stewart, regardless of the stats. However, Delgado should get it, imho.
Al Lopez Ghost (old)
A-Rod. Also, the shocking part about Delgado's 4 homer game is that Jim Parque wasn't involved.
DBAHO
A-Rod can actually be considered this year cos da Rangers almost got to .500. Delgado could get it but the Blue Jays have dropped off quite a bit. Some names to consider, Alfonso Soriano, Nomar Garciaparra. Even though Stewart could get a vot or 2, he doesn't deserve to be the MVP playing for a team for half a season. There's no 1 who really stands out besides Guardado and even Hawkins on that team. They're so friggin even.

southsider2k5
Delgado played that game Sick And he still hit 4 ON BBTN they talked about him taking cough medicine before that game, so even though he felt better yesterday, he did it again. Flash Tizzle
Delgado played that game Sick And he still hit 4 Why does every professional athlete seem to play better when they are sick except our guys. Seems a couple times a year there is a story of a player overcoming a sickness or personal tragedy to have an awesome game.
