fathom
QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 4, 2017 -> 07:51 PM) And he Ks, frustrating. Not a major league hitter, but might as well give him a shot
fathom
QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Apr 4, 2017 -> 07:47 PM) His value as a trade piece means more to the White Sox than whatever he does on the field. Does one terrible game jeopardize his vaue? No, and I don't think anyone has suggested as much. But it absolutey cannot be a reoccurring problem. It's easy for Hahn to hold off trading Q assuming he'd pitch at his usual level and maintain trade value . "Wait until the trade deadline" ive heard many say. But if he doesn't......wow, that would be TERRIBLE for this franchise's rebuilding effort. It's just the risk we've accepted. Perfect post

Let say this ovvereaction comes true and Q has a down season compared to his usual numbers, the Sox still traded Sale and Eaton and got a lot back for both. How many rebuilding teams, especially as of late, kicked off their rebuilds with moves like that. So Q having a down year wouldn't be the end of the world. Ducksnort
QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 4, 2017 -> 03:56 PM) That looked like an ugly at bat for TA. Benetti called that first pitch curveball nasty...it was literally a hanger and should have been hit 400 feet. Anderson just watched 2 strikes and swung at a ball...hes gotta get disciplined, especially as a number 2 hitter. Only first game though.
