Que the overreactions over one start

Nahh plenty of people s*** the bed on opening day, wake me up in a month if Q is still giving up two HR's a start to AAAA scrubs.

tigers hitters really leaning out over the plate...been a trend in mlb lately (so many cubs players do it) which I suspect has to do with players tryign to generate better launch angles, especially with mlb (erroneously IMO) essentially getting rid of brush backs

I said that on Twitter, a lot of starters get lit up on Opening Day.

I thought the rain delay was going to throw off at least one of the pitchers

Not an overreaction, but Q's performance just makes me miss having an ACE that could hold a team in check without his best stuff.

Quintana is an ace and is capable of doing that, especially mentally and emotionally. When Chris Sale get mad, he gets rocked.

This. Q is the definition of someone that can do that without his best stuff. Just not today.

There will probably be a handful of teams that will love to get their hands on a guy like Saladino come July.

yeah saladino for sure has a role as a super utility guy on a contending team, especially with the defense he can provide. Too bad hes already 27 and we likely wont be able to get a ton for him

would like to see Anderson use this year to really work on his discipline. no reason to swing at a 1-0 slider off the plate

It might get ugly for him this year. Pressing due to trying to justify his contract while the league knows how to attack him. And let's face it, we have seen a lot of promising young Sox hitters completely implode in year two.
