Jerry: Which White Sox prospects will reach the majors in 2018? Is Kopech, Collins, Hansen and Eloy a decent guess?

Keith Law: Kopech very likely. The others are all less so. Collins in particular is going to have to show more ability to hit (despite the big hitch in his swing).

Guess who the 8th team on the list was...

Jared Diamond‏Verified account @jareddiamond Of the eight teams who threw the most curveballs in 2017, seven made the playoffs. Why this isn't a coincidence: https://www.wsj.com/articles/baseballs-hidden-key-to-success-throwing-slower-1508243922 …://https://www.wsj.com/articles/baseba...er-1508243922 …

It's time for some Eloy Jimenez porn:

He's like 6-12 in his first 3 games with a HR and 3 walks. The league is usually considered AAAA quality.

Good grief! Has that ball landed yet? He might have taken out a satellite with that shot.

on pure results + physical talent this kid is the most exciting prospect I've followed. He's electric and the results match the hype. I sorta remember Frank and Robin and Fernandez, but not really.

ESPN posted a graphic on twitter saying the 98 yanks were the only team in the modern era to win a WS with 2 or fewer losses. There's a team in 2005 that went 11-1 to a World Series Championship....

Wow. It's really not that hard to do a search for it even if you don't know off the top of your head.

Especially since they forgot and apologized last year about them winning a championship. They had a graphic Chicago vs. Cleveland 10 championships to 1 befor the WS. 6 Bulls, 3 Hawks, 1 Bears.....

The graphic also missed the 1999 Yankees, who also went 11-1. And it's not like there was a lot of stats to dig through, they only had to check 22 teams. That's a pretty terrible job by whoever did it.

They were also wrong about the 1998 Yankees. They were 11-2.
