Chicago White Sox
QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 8, 2017 -> 08:26 PM) Homer for Delmonico. Probably my third favorite minor league hitter after Moncada and Collins Definitely my third favorite hitter after those two. Can't wait for him & Moncada to be up in a few months. The major league is going to be a ton of fun to watch once those two plus Lopez, Fulmer, & Burdi are all up.

BigHurt3515
Why is Dane Dunning not in A+?
caulfield12
Dunning will move fast...typically, staying through the league's All-Star game in June and then they'll push him up and maybe he ends in Winston-Salem or even Birmingham depending on which team's in the playoffs in early Sept. They're certainly in no rush, as they already have Kopech, Fulmer, Giolito and Adams ahead of him. Moncada actually has the lowest OPS of those 2-6 hitters at Charlotte. 1. W.Garcia 1.480 2. Hayes/Delmonico 1.458 4. Kevan Smith 1.283 5. Moncada 1.217 (8/16, only 3 k's) Edited April 9, 2017 by caulfield12
Y2Jimmy0
Worrying about Giolito is totally warranted but Fulmer was throwing 90-91 last night and Lopez 92-93 on Thursday according to that Charlotte gun.
Rowand44
I think it's fair to worry about Gio already. On a positive note, I really believe we have the best positional and pitching prospect in baseball.
Rowand44
QUOTE (raBBit @ Apr 9, 2017 -> 12:54 AM) Charlottes gun has been off over the years By 3-5 mph? That's not me trying to be an ass that's a legit question.
caulfield12
QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Apr 8, 2017 -> 10:22 PM) Worrying about Giolito is totally warranted but Fulmer was throwing 90-91 last night and Lopez 92-93 on Thursday according to that Charlotte gun. The logical explanation is the gun is 2-3 mph slow. That would put Fulmer at 92-94, Lopez at 94-96 and Giolito at 91-93, roughly. Fulmer pretty consistently threw 92-93 last year in the big leagues. Panerista
QUOTE (Dizzy Sox @ Apr 8, 2017 -> 09:06 PM) Charlotte vs. the Sox...who wins? The White Sox organization. We're very early in the rebuild process, but Charlotte's play is currently very encouraging. I would expect the Knights to be good for a while as we cycle in new young talent Edited April 9, 2017 by Sox-35th
bmags
Sox would have their own statcast readings but doubt it would be released
maggsmaggs
Willy Garcia was once a solid prospect with the Rays. Maybe the Sox have hit lightning in the bottle with him. Edited April 9, 2017 by maggsmaggs
ChiliIrishHammock24
I'm watching the Kopech start right now, and I am surprised on how many called strikeouts he's getting. I assumed this was just AA players swinging through 102 MPH cheese. But he appears to be acing them on fastballs away.
