Why is Cleveland starting both of these night games an hour early?

People freak out about the cold in April especialy at night . Maybe they are trying to start it earlier but make it so people can still work if not a full day, close.

That's the only thing I can think of. If it's a sunny evening in Cleveland, it's going to probably be hard to hit.

6pm isn't* that strange of a start time, I suppose. FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR better than another damn day game.

2B Saladino

SS Anderson

LF Cabrera

1B Abreu

DH Asche

RF A. Garcia

3B Davidson

C Soto

CF L. Garcia

P Holland

What a pathetic lineup. What a pathetic baseball team. Wonder what Vegas odds are tonight. It's got to be Cleveland -350? -400?

I'm really hoping Saladino continues to put up good numbers.

He's not off the charts but he seems pretty serviceable as a 5th infielder (post Moncada callup)

What were we expecting from him organizationally before last year?

Frazier has been scratched with flu-like symptoms.

Flu-like symptoms = excessive poopage.

Just put a Depends on his ass, he can play!

I honestly dont think the start of this season could have gone any better.

They are playing respectable ball which hopefully means the culture has changed.

If this kind of play continues the value will only go up for nice returns in future trades.

Moncada, Perez, and Kopech look like beasts down in the minors.

Its been a good first week and a half overall, sucks that its a long season though.

I agree that it's been a pretty good week - can Shields possibly play his way into some trade value for an NL contender (if we pay some of that salary)

Dare to dream

How does the "pay part of the salary work?" Since San diego is paying half of his salary for the Sox, did they get a lump sum up front to cover it? If so then the Sox would be trading the whole contract. Or does San diego pay part each year, so that money would follow Shields to the next stop?

Who is Perez?

Assuming you talking about Lopez. The K's are nice, but he has pitched 3 innings and 5 1/3, innings in his two starts. ERA 6.50. 7 walks. I am super excited for Lopez, but he hasn't exactly been great so far.

SS2K can correct me but I'm pretty sure it's just a lump sum and that the Padres aren't actually sending the Sox a check every month. If the Sox want to send some cash a long with Shields it will be a lump sum as well.
