Steff
What's wrong.. did their power go out, too..? I seem to remember a very cold and rainey day back on April 4th when the southsiders waited 3 hours in a rain delay to get the game in. Northside sissy's. chosk8
The Northside prima-donnas need ideal conditions for their dream season. Ideally, the Astros win tonight and the cubs drop 2 tomorrow in front of a packed house. That place would be up-for-grabs. The only bad thing is this gives these jackass fans an excuse that we'll all probably never hear the end of.

The Cubs stood at the top of the dugout observing Mark Prior. He stood silenty, gazing ahead at the mound he planned on conquering. As he stood up and put his hand out of the dugout, he felt rain. Cubs players stood silent as the chosen one was about the speak. Immediately with a wave with his hand the game was postponed.........the messiah had spoken. If the game truly is canceled, then the Cubs are screwed going in the playoffs. Prior wouldnt be able to pitch the Mon. game (if needed) or the first two games of the playoffs. Didnt they wait four hours for a game earlier this year against Arizona........

Queen Prawn
The damn building I'm in just got struck by lightning now all our monitors are screwed up! LOL! I don't think I ever jumped that high in a chair before. EDIT: Degaussing saved the day! Now I don't have to sit crooked and view a bluish-green monitor! IlliniBob72
I seriously cannot believe they postponed the game so soon. They waited only an hour or so!! With two days left in the season, I would have thought that they'd wait until 9 PM before they postponed the thing! Whose call is that? The umpires, MLB, or the home team? This screws the Cubs. Like someone said, now Prior wouldn't be able to pitch until Game 2 at the earliest, Game 3 most likely (assuming they made the postseason, of course). Not just that, but more importantly, aren't doubleheader sweeps very rare? If I were Andy MacPhail or Dusty Baker, I'd demand that they wait around until 10 to get that game in. s***, didn't the Sox and Tigers (???) wait around until 11 or so? And that game turned out to be as meaningless as teats on a bull.
