He batted .229 with 3 hr and 13 RBI last April... and not much better in May.

He has left a lot of easy RBI out there.

He needs to do his job.. right now he isn't contributing on offense and is a liability on defense.

I continue to believe he's about 2-3 years older than listed.

Is it me or does Abreu look overweight? His swing also looks terrible as he leads with front foot but can't clear his hips fast enough

It's just you. He had a good spring training but it's true right now that Abreu is an automatic out

regardless....anytime he wants to join the rest of the Sox this season that'd be nice. btw...what's the situation with his kid? Is he here now full time? That was the excuse last year....

The rest of the Sox?They have a .220 team average. Scoring next to nothing when homers around the league are back up to steroid era levels.

worded poorly...but you get the point...but yeah you are correct. However...he's supposed to be the big gun on this team...he needs to show up.

May mis-read that ball... First step was in. Ball ended up hitting the warning track. Tell me again how his sole purpose for being here is defense. They teach you in High school that on fly balls your first step is always back.

He had no chance either way but FWIW I saw the same thing in spring. He's fast, he's not especially instinctual.

Abreu has been horrible at the scoops glad he was able to get him at second but damn.

Would be nice to see Hahn get some guys/prospects who can also bring it with the glove. Other than Anderson, it's not looking pretty in thst department (although Collins has improved considerably as well).
