Chicago White Sox
This has been a super dissapointing year (so far) for our minor league system. I really hope Lopez is working on specific pitches or something, because his numbers have been fairly ugly.
BigHurt3515
QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Apr 22, 2017 -> 07:21 PM) This has been a super dissapointing year (so far) for our minor league system. I really hope Lopez is working on specific pitches or something, because his numbers have been fairly ugly. Every year it is like this no matter who we have. Our best players so far are Mitch Roman and Dane Dunning

Chicago White Sox
QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Apr 22, 2017 -> 07:51 PM) 2.0 IP, 1H, 0R, 0BB, 4K for Cooper. Had a K/9 of 18 and BB/9 of 2.25 coming in. I saw article this morning that mentioned his velocity actually increased into the low 90's at some point last year. He's a guy that deserves an extended look in the rotation assuming he can keep this up.

Feeky Magee
QUOTE (Donaldo @ Apr 22, 2017 -> 07:16 PM) It sickens me whenever I think that this organization is hell bent on putting him in the bullpen. It seems really, really dumb, particularly given his stated preference for starting. Hopefully he forces their hand by continuing to be as ridiculous as he has been. 4.0 IP, 4H, 1R, 0BB, 7K. caulfield12
Let's hope we have more than Dunning and Moncada to show for this minor league season. We desperately need someone like W Garcia to morph into the next Thames. Pretty bleak right now unless we sign Robert or get the next Benintendi in the draft. oldsox
Courtney Hawkins having another tough night. 3 AB's, all strikeouts. What's the point here in keeping him? Do him a favor and release him. Maybe another org can help him.
caulfield12
Oh, and pray Kopech can discover his control and become a TOR monster. Hawkins peaked early, just like Mitchell...heck, the flip on the draft show might turn out to be what he's most remembered for.
SoxAce
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 22, 2017 -> 09:17 PM) Hawkins peaked early, just like Mitchell... Mitchell was a far better prospect at this point. That ankle injury destroyed his career.
Feeky Magee
Colton Turner (the return from the Blue Jays for Dioner Navarro) has been good early for Birmingham. 2.0 IP, 0H, 0BB, 3K tonight. 15K, 3BB in 10 IP on the year.
