Bob Sacamano
Yep probably time for Davidson to play every day, dfa Asche and call up another bullpen arm? Wouldn't want to call Delmonico up just to sit on bench.
maxjusttyped
Davidson has earned the right to start facing a few RHP.
caulfield12
Davidson has the power Viciedo and Avi Garcia were supposed to have... Of course, two weeks from now he'll probably be hitting .212, but it's more interesting than watching Pedro Alvarez or Chris Carter I suppose. elrockinMT
QUOTE (Scoots @ Apr 25, 2017 -> 12:45 AM) Yeah Davidson needs to be a regular He probably should start more, but he won't as it's still early in the season. They will stick to the platoon for awhile longer
caulfield12
I personally believe the Royals lost a lot of their aggressiveness and swagger when they traded Dyson away. Just a theory, but maybe Gordon's body is breaking down from the wear and tear that results from his style of play, right now he and Hosmer are complete mysteries. It's looking like Moustakas and Cain will be the only ones with much trade value, along with Duffy/Herrera if they choose to shop them. Moustakas definitely would be an attractive rental to a lot of teams like the Mets. Pirates will probably dump Freese if they fall out of it as well without Kang and Marte. Feeky Magee
QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 24, 2017 -> 06:36 PM) 2 more homers for Eric Thames. Incredible. Sort of project the Sox should be after. Brewers have done an exceptional rebuild. Wladimir Balentien could be the same sort of thing. Dude looked incredible at the WBC.
fathom
Defense on the corners for the Sox is utterly pathetic.
Ducksnort
QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Apr 24, 2017 -> 08:50 PM) He probably should start more, but he won't as it's still early in the season. They will stick to the platoon for awhile longer I mean, when a guy's hitting you let him play, especially on a team that can't hit. If he can't hit right-handed pitching then he shouldn't be on the team. He needs to play more against rhp, especially right now while he is seeing the ball well. I'd bet money Davidson hits the ball better against righties than Asche does. IMO, Davidson needs to be playing at least 5 days a week.

caulfield12
The crazy thing with the Brewers is that no matter how well their rebuild goes, they still have the Cubs and Cardinals blocking them in that division...and the Cubs will have money to spend on pitching, or trade bait from their minors to swap. Deck is still stacked against them. At least with the White Sox, we know Cleveland will eventually run out of resources to hold onto their young players if they're not replaced internally. Granted, they surprisingly forked over the money for Encarnacion, and Swisher/Bourn before that.

caulfield12
Let's remember the Brewers also let Khris Davis go... At any rate, of all those rumored trades, the one the White Sox should have made was for Ozuna of the Marlins.
