tray
An alternative to tanking - Continue to play good baseball. That will put fans in the seats who will drink beer. Then spend the beer money on Luis Robert.
chw42
Watch this team pull a 2000 White Sox on all of us.

Panerista
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Apr 28, 2017 -> 11:04 PM) It's July 31st, 2017. The Chicago White Sox are 6 games over .500, 1.5 games behind the Cleveland Indians, and in 2nd place in the AL Central. Avisail Garcia is hitting .325, Matt Davidson has 18 home runs, Rodon has a sub-3 ERA, and the bullpen remains dominant. Yoan Moncada and Lucas Giolito have had strong showings since their early June call-ups. Nevertheless, the Sox swing trades for Dan Jennings, David Robertson, Melky Cabrera, Todd Frazier, and Nate Jones. -------------------------------------------------- Even though that was mostly sarcastic, I can actually see this team being pretty good and still selling, to the dismay of *some* fans. This team has been really good, but I still expect them to sell at the deadline.

flavum
http://www.espn.com/mlb/standings/_/group/overall 19 teams between 3 over and 3 under .500. The Sox are the best of the mediocres. Hope they keep pitching. Edited April 29, 2017 by flavum
Panerista
QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ Apr 29, 2017 -> 09:53 AM) Well sign me up for a summer of that!! Gotta rebuild to get that. We're really not a contender at this point.
Greg Hibbard
The stats of this team are so bizarre, across the board. They almost don't make any sense at all. Not only do certain individuals not make any sense, but you look at their team stats and wonder how this team could only have a team OPS in the .600s scoring 7, 8, 12 runs in many recent games. The whole thing is just baffling.
TheTruth05
Enjoying the ride no matter how long it lasts, gotta love being in a full rebuild and having young players like Avi,Leury,Matt showing signs of life.

sin city sox fan
Only one division in baseball with 4 out 5 teams above .500.......the toughest division in the game top to bottom is the AL Central.

Is this sarcasm? Because if it is not, I whole heartedly disagree with you. The AL East is by far the toughest division.

Oh absolutely, I'm absolutely paralyzed in fear by the mighty Minnesota Twins. They might be the best team I've seen since the 2001 Mariners.
