chitownsportsfan
Ah crap it's Covey day. Hopefully Rodon and Shields can get healthy by the end of May, and Lopez keeps improving (he had a solid start this weekend).

flavum
Back to reality in May. They'll lose 3 out 4 in KC and go 13-17 in May. Don't worry though. I'm never right.

harkness99
I'm very baffled with why May is still up here... and getting in the line-up. Dayan Viciedo available?

Need someone who can backup CF. But I agree, he should go down to AAA. That said, he is a non prospect, so not he needs everyday ABs in AAA. Dayan Viciedo available? He's been struggling in 2017, OPS under .600. He had actually had a pretty good 2016 and made the All-Star team. http://npb.jp/bis/eng/players/13715132.html
chitownsportsfan
Guess Avi needs a day off but FFS May isn't even a AA level player and he's getting ABs. It's tough to watch, even in a rebuilding year. Thankfully Basabe is doing well so far as the Sox need OF prospects.
bmags
As long as May is on the team he will play, especially when one of our outfielders had a tight muscle yesterday.

Is that what happened to Avi? No problems giving him the day off and really no problem with May getting the ABs. It's just a shame the Sox don't have another intriguing OF like Avi to give some ABs to in a rebuild. Guess they want Garcia down in AAA playing every day. caulfield12
Dylan Covey set the all-time statcast record in speed differential (pitch velocity to exit off the bat) with a high 60's curveball that Aaron Judge absolutely punished at 110+ mph. Murderball. So there's that. Edited May 1, 2017 by caulfield12

ptatc
QUOTE (raBBit @ May 1, 2017 -> 06:03 PM) It really sucks when Covey and Pelfrey start 40% percent of your games. I know we have Fulmer and Lopez coming eventually but this is awful. Give me Danish over one of these dopes. At least he's quasi-interesting. Only if you think that Danish is ready for the MLB. This is a rebuilding year, DO NOT rush any prospects.
