Slippery slope of trying to prove intent, especially when a guy wasn't thrown out of the game
flavum
The thing with Sale is that he has no f***ing clue what he's looking at when it comes to handling a perceived problem. The Machado/Pedroia thing was over, but Betts just happened to get hit Monday, so Billy Badass has to throw behind Machado like the punk he is. flavum
Just a prediction- Sale will get suspended without pay, but won't miss a start. But both teams are on notice. Enough is enough.
Bob Sacamano
It'll be what, 5 games? Not even missing a start. You would just pitch the next day.
Dick Allen
I think actually hitting him or something by the head should be a requirement for a suspension. Fine him all you want, but this was low and behind him.

They need to start taking throwing at hitters seriously, it's dangerous. If I'm Manfred, I'm letting Sale know he's responsible for keeping the stupidity going. No suspension, but he should be on notice the next time he does it, immediate ejection and 2 week suspension.
YouCanPutItOnTheBoardYES!
Sale is only getting fined as of now, right? I'm selfishly hoping he misses his scheduled start in Minnesota so that I might be able to see him in person in Milwaukee.

I assume if he is getting suspended, he'd appeal it, pitch his next game, and then drop the appeal and serve it. Yeah, unfortunately it doesn't look like the schedules will work out. I had been hoping he'd pitch in Milwaukee since the trade. I don't know when else I could see him in person anymore.
