CaliSoxFanViaSWside
QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 19, 2017 -> 07:17 PM) Romero appears to be the one guy they can count on. He had Ozuna down 0-2 and on the 3rd pitch threw heat right down the pipe. MLB Network (specifically Plesac ) calling it something like dead brain heavers. Just rear back and throw as hard as you can without thinking. Of course that's why you have a catcher so Weiters can share the blame. kwill
You have to hope that Tampa stays in the race. The only reason why Rizzo has not done the deal yet is to hopefully have more options towards the deadline. Alex Colome is better, younger and cheaper than Robertson. Yeah, and they also asked him to go more than one inning...I'll give this guy a break - he's been solid - but he can't pitch every inning or in every high leverage situation, as shown tonight. They need help.
daggins
Enny has been decent, but with Glover hurt, they have nothing after him. It's pretty much Albers and that's it. It's a hell-pit of sub-replacement garbage, and yet they're still like, 10 games up on the Mets.

It'll be fascinating to see who ends up being correct - the do something now crowd, or the wait til the deadline crowd.

caulfield12
Rangers? Wouldn't have 100% confidence in Bush. His numbers look very good though...just blew a save against hated rival Toronto. 3 bs off Bush, 13 overall for pen. daggins
Guys who could be on the market competing with Robertson: Roberto Osuna Justin Wilson Colome (highly skeptical of the Rays as sellers tho) Britton? He hasn't been healthy but he's very good Doolittle Neshek Nicasio Jim Johnson Probably a lot I missed. Robertson is far from the Nats only option. It just happens to be a good fit. daggins
Really though, the Nats need 3 relievers, since they have to account for the inevitable mediocrity of Matt Albers.

They need anyone. It all depends on when the front office feels like pulling the trigger(s). Edited June 20, 2017 by soxfan2014

caulfield12
Hand has struggled a bit as of late...not unlike Swarzak situation, won't get (perceived) full value compared to a month ago.

All this is leading us to Kahnle! Robertson and Kahnle for Robles ++!
SoxAce
I can easily see Washington being interested in Kahnle more actually.
