daggins
No matter how awful their pen is, no how desperate it seems, the Nats are not trading Robles for relievers. Lets just stow that talk.
caulfield12
Murphy should have turned that DP easily...like a typical Sox defensive debacle there. K-Rod is done cooked finito.
flavum
Ok, so what's fair for just Robertson and Kahnle packaged?
fathom
QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 30, 2017 -> 12:24 AM) Ok, so what's fair for just Robertson and Kahnle packaged? Soto, Luzardo and Severino. yesterday333
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 29, 2017 -> 05:25 PM) Soto, Luzardo and Severino. Soto is a projected top 20 prospect after this year what about Kieboom, Luzardo and Daniel Johnson? It would be great to get an inf, an of, and a lhp in the deal... caulfield12
Why do we need a backup catcher, no matter how good the D? White Sox will teach him how to hit?
LittleHurt05
What's amazing is that the Nats are on pace to win 98 games with this bullpen. They could be a 110+ team with a real pen.

fathom
I've always wondered if something delaying a DRob trade is if Sox are waiting for Soto or Kieboom to show they're healthy

Chicago White Sox
QUOTE (yesterday333 @ Jun 29, 2017 -> 06:27 PM) what about Kieboom, Luzardo and Daniel Johnson? It would be great to get an inf, an of, and a lhp in the deal... If Soto is off limits, I'd do Kieboom + Luzardo for Robertson + cash. If Robertson & Kahnle are packaged together, I'd need Soto + Kieboom plus something else decent. As long as we eat some money, Robertson should have plenty of value himself. Heads22
David Robertson, in save situations: 13.1 IP, 4 H, 4 BB, 21 K, 2 R, 1.35 ERA
Jose Abreu
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 29, 2017 -> 06:25 PM) Soto, Luzardo and Severino. Soto is a projected top 20 prospect after this year That is if he can get back on the field. Adding Kahnle to that package adds so much value due to the years of cheap control. Not saying it warrants Robles, but we'd need more players coming back.
Lip Man 1
Maybe Todd Ricketts was right in his comment today in the Tribune. He said the Cubs would play Washington this year in the playoffs and "they'll crumble..." (direct quote)
Whisox05
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 29, 2017 -> 06:20 PM) Nationals, they know Bryce is gone soon Other teams including the sox are wanting robles in trades for high end relievers. Yes robles is their replacement for harper but you cant wait for the future when you are trying to win now. You have harper another year and half but you come up short by not fixing the pen cause you want to save a prospect. They will have to pony up eventually cause every team knows the nats are going to be desperate at some point.
