CaliSoxFanViaSWside
Once some managers start getting fired expect to see more Spanish speaking managers hired. Surprised there's not more already with so much Latin talent already in MLB.
Soha
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 20, 2017 -> 06:50 PM) Schwarber OR Happ, Jimenez and Clifton for Q, then Cubs' fan will really be shook. And no, we're not going to settle for Almora. Guess he's temporarily bored with IT out of playoffs and the Cubs mired in mediocrity pitching-wise. Hmm, I might be tempted if they offered Jimenez, Almora and a lottery ticket or two. Getting the #11 prospect in baseball is a big get. caulfield12
Almora has too high a risk that he simply turns into a really excellent fourth outfielder....he can't be the second piece.
SoxAce
Ian Happ has to be in any deal involving Quintana.

spiderman
I continue to hear this. Is this correct? - Top of the farm system is great - After the top 10 (or so), the system is thin, bottom level talent - Still thin in position prospects, although they may have C, 2B and CF (3 tougher ones) figured out
SouthSide2004
QUOTE (spiderman @ May 21, 2017 -> 05:11 AM) I continue to hear this. Is this correct? - Top of the farm system is great - After the top 10 (or so), the system is thin, bottom level talent - Still thin in position prospects, although they may have C, 2B and CF (3 tougher ones) figured out Generally correct, but they have a lot more than 10 quality prospects. Hell, the Sox have a good 10+ quality starting pitching prospects alone. But yeah, the system has a serious lack of depth, especially on the positional side. SoxAce
It's definitely top heavy, but these next 2 drafts should help solidify the quantity of the farm after the big boys (Moncada, Lopez, etc.) graduate. This is also not counting the potential trades of players on the current roster. In other words, Rick Hahn has a pretty sweet deck of cards he's sitting on. It's up to him and the scouts to make sure it's a winning hand.
