BlackSox13
Hoping for another dominant start from Hansen followed by a call-up to WS. Hansen has really improved his control so far this season.

flavum
I'm a Remillard fan. Liked what I saw in the College Series. Maybe a bump up the ladder after the draft?

Maybe a bump up the ladder after the draft? A bunch of those Kannapolis hitters should be in high A.
SoxAce
QUOTE (SouthSide2004 @ May 22, 2017 -> 06:50 PM) A bunch of those Kannapolis hitters should be in high A. I think a couple of them will be promoted when the second half of the minor league season starts or after the draft when guys usually move around. Donaldo
QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 22, 2017 -> 07:00 PM) after the draft when guys usually move around. That's my guess.

SoxAce
QUOTE (fathom @ May 22, 2017 -> 07:54 PM) 3 for last 38 for Basabe He was 4 for his last 38. Now 4 for his last 42. (14 K's) Gotta remember he's a year and a half younger than Collins. He can start at W-S next year and still be a good prospect. Basabe usually adjusts in the second half though. Last year in low A he hit .222/.293/.397 (29.9% K rate) in the first half. Second half he hit .292/.355/.493.

caulfield12
What's the story with Morrison? He's a reliever from Coastal Carolina, like 27th round...how is he striking out everyone? Ehren Wasserman-esque trickery?
Dick Allen
QUOTE (fathom @ May 22, 2017 -> 08:51 PM) Good post, not too worried about him yet. All along, willie has been saying he's great on defense but has a ton to learn offensively I always worry about guys that have a hard time with the Mendoza line. There aren't a lot of really good players that overcame that in the lower levels. There are a few. But it's early, guys slump, and when you are in your slump this early, you numbers look bad, but if he hits .220 or something with a s*** load of strikeouts when the season is done, I'll never count on him to be anything but maybe a 4th or 5th outfielder at best considering the rebuild is supposed to lead to a pretty stacked team for a long time.
