BlackSox13
Fulmer didn't get much help from his defense but he's settled in, so far 5IP 2H 3R 1ER 2BB 2K 2HR.

fathom
4 homers allowed by Fulmer. His season stats went mediocre quickly. Stuff has just deteriorated from college. Edited May 24, 2017 by fathom
caulfield12
"ONLY" four earned runs for Fulmer, but another ugly start, now two in a row. Happ/Benintendi...but alas, no. Let's just hope we don't hear the words "shoulder" and Rodon again this year, that alone will be a major win at this point.
ron883
QUOTE (fathom @ May 23, 2017 -> 07:41 PM) 4 homers allowed by Fulmer. His season stats went mediocre quickly. Stuff has just deteriorated from college. You are spot on. Seems like he lost a few ticks on his fastball since college. Hopefully he can regain his stuff out of the pen. SoxAce
OT, but pretty shocked the Nats rushed Stevenson to AAA. Kid is really struggling.
oldsox
QUOTE (fathom @ May 23, 2017 -> 06:41 PM) 4 homers allowed by Fulmer. His season stats went mediocre quickly. Stuff has just deteriorated from college. Sox signed Fulmer partly because of a great playoff start -- his last college start. Maybe the wind was blowing out tonight. BlackSox13
Fulmer still has the same stuff he had coming out of college. Difference is that AAA hitters aren't swinging at the stuff out of the strike zone like the college hitters were.
Chicago White Sox
QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ May 23, 2017 -> 10:00 PM) Fulmer still has the same stuff he had coming out of college. Difference is that AAA hitters aren't swinging at the stuff out of the strike zone like the college hitters were. This is it what I heard. His velo is softer on the fastball, he's removed a pitch and added another, his delivery is different and so is the angle on his pitches. His stuff is quite different than in college. oldsox
QUOTE (fathom @ May 23, 2017 -> 08:25 PM) He was drafted before that start and the wind was at 4 mph. I think you are correct on that. Nice catch. I was just kidding on the "wind" comment.
