Chicago White Sox
QUOTE (raBBit @ Aug 29, 2017 -> 11:43 AM) Sox need to trade MiGo and get Covey back in the rotation. 100% agree. Hopefully Gonzalez doesn't make his next start on the 31st.
flavum
As long as the Sox end up with the worst AL record, I'm cool with the 4th pick if it means Rodon, Giolito, Anderson, and Moncada are playing well. Just don't go do anything too good and fall to 7 or 8. Unlikely, but that would suck.
Dunt
Is there anywhere we can track our magic # for having a top 5 pick? This draft is so deep, you will be able to get a stud with pretty much any of those picks.

Soha
QUOTE (raBBit @ Aug 29, 2017 -> 11:43 AM) Sox need to trade MiGo and get Covey back in the rotation. Where are Axelrod and Belisario when we need them? But seriously, it's nice to hear that the depth of the draft will make this pick's spot not the biggest deal in the world. As long as they don't go 11-9 again in their next 20 games. Then we might be looking at picking in the bottom part of the top 10. Harry Chappas
The number of NL teams fighting for the top pick should help as they should be playing one another at a higher degree.

flavum
QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Aug 30, 2017 -> 12:22 PM) Phucking Fillies. Yeah, it's going to be 2 or 3 probably. If the Sox go 15-17 or worse, they'll have a nice pick next year.
Soha
QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Aug 30, 2017 -> 12:22 PM) Phucking Fillies. Considering the Braves are getting uncomfortably close to the Sox in the standings, this probably isn't such a bad thing.

flavum
Seeing all of the Magic Numbers from 4 to 9, the Sox better not blow a top 3 pick...and they won't.
flavum
Just for perspective, if the Sox go 15-17, for teams to have a higher pick they would have to go: Giants 13-15 Reds 11-19 Tigers and Mets 9-22 Padres and A's 9-21 Braves 10-23 Maybe the Sox fall to 4, but I'm not worried about them going 18-14 and really dropping.
