The Sir
Maybe a genie told Rick that a 450' homerun to dead centerfield would be called foul, so he didn't want to waste his challenge.

soxfan49
QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ May 28, 2017 -> 01:49 PM) I tell you what, this Sox team is playing some good, smart, fun baseball so far this year. Not sure they've been playing "good" baseball but smart and fun? Sure. I still think W. Garcia is going to be a decent player. Not sure what city that will be in. beautox
I hope this is the timeline where all three Garcia's become productive major leaguers. Avi becomes a jose guillen redux, Leury a less crazy center fielding Carl Everett and Willy a competent 4th outfielder with the chance for more. That would accelerate the timetable for contenting probably into 2020 and yea, it would be awesome.
caulfield12
Once again, milb career ops of 727 for W.Garcia. Avi's was quite a bit higher. Leury at just 684.

chitownsportsfan
Slash! Matt: .267 .317 .534 851 OPS Leury: 273 .323 .462 755 OPS Sanchez: .303 .344 .426 766 OPS Wily: 263 .318 .421 739 OPS even when the Sox rest Avi they still have some competent MLB hitters (currently at least) up and down the lineup outside of Jose. This is a far cry from the "3 easy out" days of the last couple years.

chitownsportsfan
Gonzo is making them pay for being so aggresive. A lot of bad ABs by the Tigers, reminiscent of the Sox of recent years.

This is a far cry from the "3 easy out" days of the last couple years. I appreciate having big league quality ABs up and down the line up but I can't wait to see what an all Garcia outfield is capable of producing for half a year with tilson's return completely unknown in addition to Delmonico and Davidson getting nice long looks and Yoan eventually making his way up, all though i've been pleasently surprised by Yolmer as well.
