SoxAce
Zavala with another homerun. His 3rd in 4 days. 10 on the year. He had 11 total in 2 seasons prior.
caulfield12
Fulmer pretty awful the last two starts. After Kopech, hard to say exactly what the Sox have at the upper levels...Adams, too.
fathom
Fulmer doesn't look like he's gonna be a MLB starter to me. Have a feeling he's destined to be a middle reliever
maxjusttyped
I'm still a Fulmer believer. He's struggling right now but the stuff doesn't look bad.

caulfield12
The problem is Fulmer looks more like Addison Reed than Benintendi or Happ, lol. You can throw 92-94 without impeccable location anymore as a starter...you have to be 95-98 or have remarkable movement. Hopefully Hansen and Dunning compensate for the inconsistency/struggles at the AA and AAA level, other than Kopech. No Collins today, btw. I'm watching him now and he's hitting 92-94 with a slow Charlotte gun. Velocity hasn't been his problem. Hell, his first 2 runs in the 1st inning was off a guy swinging at a 3-0 count. 3rd run was off an ole defensive play by Delmonico. His stuff would be considered above average for a ML SP and he's made real strides in the last year with his command. We were all hoping he'd be Tim Lincecum when the Sox drafted him. That probably isn't going to happen. But it's *way* too early to start talking about him as a reliever, in my opinion.

Doesn't that make 21 Ks over his last 10 innings? It seems like low A isn't giving him much of a challenge, perhaps a move to Winston-Salem is in order? He's repeating AAA and has a near 5 ERA. If he struggles the rest of the way, you have to try something different next season.

If he struggles the rest of the way, you have to try something different next season. He's had two bad starts and his line suggested he was close to being call-up ready prior to that. This seems a bit overreactionary.

Unless his body can't take being a SP or the stuff significantly regresses I don't see the rush to move him to the bullpen.

I still hate how they developed Fulmer (I've gone on record saying they in some ways killed his development) but I don't think you give up on him as a SP just yet. Kid just can't command anything right now.

reiks12
the power of throwing strikes I would be fine with 1 more Kanny start and then if he does well throw him in Winston Salem

Chicago White Sox
There are a good six or seven guys who should be moved up from Kannapolis to high A. Hansen, Morrison, Booker, Fisher, Remillard, & Zavala have no business being in low A IMO (I get why Zavala is there though). And I could see an argument made for Roman & a few of the other pitchers as well. Getz really needs to push these guys up in the coming weeks.
