YASNY
I've never heard anything negative about Cito Gaston. Two titles. A good player's manager. All class. I'd like to see Cito get it.
Texsox
No No No we need to save him I was a big Larussa fan but his best years are behind him. We would have him before he was great and after he was great. Is Lee Elia available? We need to wait until the firing season is over and decide then. You never know who will be available. How about Frank as a player-Manager
DonkeyKongerko
theoldroman Posted on Sep 28 2003, 05:21 PM I agree Jas. He may actually be a good manager, but his style doesnt work here. I wish good luck to him wherever he ends up... Baloney, he is not a good manager. He's got a pitcher going for a no-hitter in the Seventh with a 5-0 lead and leaves Everett in left field. I like Everett but he's no golden glove. A ball that Rowand would have caught easily falls in. I also thought about Roberto for Aaron Miles. If you have a chance to accomplish something great you have to go for it and try make it happen, he just waited around hoping. The story of the whole season. Ok I blame JM for alot of things, but I'm not gonna blame him for losing a no-hitter. Maybe if it's the 9th inning, not the 7th inning. CubKilla
Is Lee Elia available? I know he's the bench coach in TB. Imagine the trash talking Elia would be credited for come next years CrossTown Series
Texsox
Maybe they'll announce he's staying another season then fire him in two weeks when Torre is available. Oops, the Lions patented that one.
