iamshack
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 8, 2017 -> 06:07 PM) There we go Avi So proud of this guy...it's pretty remarkable how consistent he has been, particularly when compared with the guy batting ahead of him in the order. flavum
Just saw the Renteria thing and the MLB Network guys were trying to figure out why tonight since it's mostly Holland's fault. My guess is he's seeing some complacency about losing--maybe goofing off while losing. I thought it was ridiculous Abreu fanning Willy Garcia with a towel and laughing after he was out at home. Maybe the media will ask him after the game, but he probably won't give a clear answer.

flavum
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 8, 2017 -> 08:35 PM) What happened The team was huddled around Rick, while he chewed them out. It was on the Rays broadcast.
caulfield12
Leury Garcia has also been a space cadet the last two weeks as well...we saw how well Ventura turned those kinds of situations around the last 5 years. And yeah, Garcia (unless he was waved home), should have been at 3rd with one out. Bourjos made an incredible back-up, so I'd have to watch the replay to find out whether Garcia ran through a stop sign. (Another point here is that it was a BIG hit for Willy against his former organization, he probably got carried away with over exuberance to score.) At any rate, let's see Renteria's solution/s. caulfield12
McCullers (early warning) throwing a no-hitter so far against KC...bottom of the 6th now. Too early to get that excited, but NOT good news for the rest of the AL. Martes just was recalled and Tucker's already in AA...everything's coming up roses for them for now (but remember the 2014 A's, lol, best team in baseball that midseason). caulfield12
McCullers through 6 now. And the Cubs are (relatively speaking) in chaos compared to where they SHOULD be with that roster. J4L has finally been quieted about LBJ. Edited June 9, 2017 by caulfield12

caulfield12
DOWN GOES FRAZIER. 741 OPS all of a sudden (Mr. Streaky), .206 BA needs to get to least .230ish. Avi back up to 330 and maintaining a 921 OPS. Someone made Tim Anderson mad. Maybe leading the AL (maybe majors) in errors? Chicago White Sox
QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 8, 2017 -> 08:51 PM) Frazier homer. He'll be wanted in July. Holding onto Frazier was definitely the right call. He's really heating up and still has another seven weeks or so build up his trade value. Still think the Red Sox make the most sense.
