Again, if you believe the reports, George recruited Carmelo. Why would he do that if he wanted to "score as much as humanly possible?" Why would Carmelo waive his NTC to go to a team with the reigning MVP and another all-star if he didn't want to adjust his game to win? I think you're overthinking things here.

Like I said, Devil's advocate. Was trying to see if someone would give something I haven't thought of yet.

Well, and this isn't aimed at you, but it seems to me fans can't make up their mind. We complained all year about how boring last year was because you knew it was going to be Cleveland/Golden State, and now we've got teams, particularly in the west, being pro-active to compete and fans still complain. The Rockets add Paul? Oh my god - how will Paul/Harden work? Wolves add Butler? Oh my god - will he stunt the growth of Wiggins and Towns? And I've already seen loads of people question how Carmelo will fit with Westbrook and George. It's like what do people want here? You want more competition? You need to load up on all-stars in today's game. Let the coaches, etc, figure out the rest.

Those games will be FAR more watchable than anything last season. Throw in one more injury to a GS player and this could even be a watchable season.

Literally, the post I said before that was agreeing with you. Then I specifically said "Devil's Advocate", to see if people could present any coherent argument for why these players were a particularly good fit rather than a bad fit so that I could see how to stack this team up against Houston and GS and SAN. So far you're just coming across as pissed about anyone daring to ask.

So $39 million for 1 year of an over the hill Dwayne Wade. Nice move GarPax. He played you again.

Buying him out now was the right move. He clearly didn't want to be part of a rebuilding team and Bulls front office had to know this was something they'd be dealing with when they decided to move Butler.

It was the right move now. The right move a year ago was to ignore him. He played the Bulls when he was a legit star free agent, and he played them for a payday again last year.

He didn't play them last season. The bulls were just a f***up as an organization and put themselves in this position.

Lottery Reform has been approved: http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/2085100...healthy-players

I actually think that the new rules will encourage more tanking. In the old system, they drew 3 teams for the lottery and put teams 4-14 by record. Team with worst record had a 25% chance, 2nd worst record 19.9% and 3rd worst at 15.6%. Now they are including the 4 worst teams in the drawing and putting the odds at 14% for each starting in 2019. Instead of 3 teams tanking for the 1st pick, I think the league could have as many as 10 teams tanking to get into the bottom 4 because those teams all have an equal chance now of obtaining the #1 pick in a given year. This new system doesn't really make any sense in my opinion.

Totally agree with this.

I haven't read up on it, but did they add the proposed rule about not being able to draft top 3 in consecutive years?

It's not in any of the explanations from the outlets that have reported "details". I really hope that it's not in there.
