iamshack
QUOTE (Springfield SoxFan @ Jun 17, 2017 -> 06:25 PM) Sell high. Why not? I suspect they won't get that offer.
Soxnfins
Delvin Perez? I thought maybe a "wait and see" approach with Alex Reyes due to his TJS as well, but don't know how the Card would take to that offer. iamshack
I'll be honest, if they want Avi, as of June 17, I am starting with an ask of Alex Reyes.
Quin
Yeah, the way Avi is playing you have to actually get a legit offer
Middle Buffalo
I don't know if what he's doing this year is legit, but he wouldn't be the first 26 year old to finally put it all together. I'd want something legit in return.

Ducksnort
No. Don't trade him. He's a core part of this rebuild. He can be the teams star player in 2 years if he really did figure it out. And if he did, not likely any prospect will match what he is doing.

iamshack
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 17, 2017 -> 07:11 PM) Hawk might cry if Avi is traded. He won't be. Wite mentioned Abreu may be one of the least likely trade candidates in the League. I suspect Avi is even less likely.

steveno89
QUOTE (SCCWS @ Jun 17, 2017 -> 09:36 PM) More importantly will it be valid 5 months from now. Unlikely Avi gets traded, but nobody believes he is actually as good as he had played so far. I'd need a considerable package to move him though. kwill
Kelly+Weaver+Perez. I doubt the Cardinals would pull the trigger as they are really hurt by the lack of picks. Arguments for Cards doing it. Kelly is blocked by Molina Perez has not even played this year and is likely 3 years away. Weaver is just a duplicate of Flaherty and Reyes is still their number 1 pitching prospect. ChiliIrishHammock24
For the love of god, please do it. Avi for Luke Weaver, straight up. Do it. And that's still asking for too much. There is too much of a sample size that says he sucks to think he's suddenly a superstar.

And if he did, not likely any prospect will match what he is doing.r We might be in a rebuild, but Avi us a big part of our plan moving forward. Scoot says two years but you can make a legitimate argument that he us already the star of the team. He is probably our All-Star rep. If we just trade everyone without any regard for their replacement we will be in the cellar for five years
