fathom
QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Jun 22, 2017 -> 03:43 AM) Don't need to keep arguing this every other day. We know your stance. Let people watch and rationalize losses how they want. And like it or not, this is the path the org has decided on so you might as well embrace it

Let people watch and rationalize losses how they want. I just wonder why I can't belabor the point and have to endure sentences like he wrote that offer nothing but saying how happy he is we are losing. Seems unfair I can't respond in anger. QUOTE (mataipaepae @ Jun 22, 2017 -> 03:44 AM) You are really struggling with this whole idea of rebuilding. Boy you must be a peach to be around, so oblivious. I'm like El Rockin a big Sox fan who despises losing especially against these prick teams from our own division. Twinks and Royals bother me but I hate the Indians as well. Twinks and Royals bother me but I hate the Indians as well. He said "good loss." He didn't say he was happy. It's a rationalized positive spin on it. Since you seem to know we could have won the division this season without trading guys, who should the Sox have added? Who should the Sox have replaced Avi with (as they would have if they were going for it this year)? Edited June 22, 2017 by soxfan2014
greg775
Sox don't have many players on this team who will be involved in any rebuild. This Engel guy doesn't impress me. I guess Avi, Abreu and Davidson and Anderson are about it. There are truly a lot of bad hitters and pitchers on this team.

greg775
QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Jun 22, 2017 -> 03:06 AM) Every time I bring up the question "who would you have signed?" you always ignore it I'll go through it all again, but nobody wants to hear it so I won't. Pathetic effort tonight. Sox back at the crossroads. This season can turn to utter crap at any time and it's trending badly right now. WIth this starting rotation as bad as it is and so many lousy hitters you all are probably gonna get your wish. Worst record in the AL for sure; NL not for certain yet. greg775
QUOTE (Tony @ Jun 22, 2017 -> 03:14 AM) I thought the Sox were just a few pieces away?!?!?! You guys are nuts if you think I'm going to go through my contender scenario again. I'm not trying to get banned.
greg775
QUOTE (Tony @ Jun 22, 2017 -> 03:19 AM) Can't have it both ways. You think the Sox made a huge mistake by not going the "Yankee Way" (When ironically the reason the Yankees team is trending upwards right now is drafting and their own players) and spending money on free agency because the Sox division is bad and they just needed to add a few pieces.......yet now you're saying they only have a handful of talented players, and how bad this team is. It can't be both. I'm sure a detailed search could find my long post(s) explaining my position which I maintain is logical.

I'm not trying to get banned. Your scenario where you, again, mention no names on who we should have signed/traded for? I renember you saying the Sox should have added a pitcher, DH, catcher and OF but never mentioned who or how.
