BaconOnAStick
Is it crazy to want Giolito up here now, get a few starts with Cooper at the helm? What's the difference with him getting bombed in AAA and getting hit around for the 2017 White Sox at this point? I think it will help him a lot, but they will wait for one of his good starts before the org brings him up. Everything else today has been great

maxjusttyped
I wonder if Kopech will get a start or two at Charlotte before the season ends.

maxjusttyped
Giolito bombs and it was still a very good night for White Sox prospects. This is fun.

Quin
QUOTE (Tony @ Jul 20, 2017 -> 09:27 PM) Is it crazy to want Giolito up here now, get a few starts with Cooper at the helm? What's the difference with him getting bombed in AAA and getting hit around for the 2017 White Sox at this point? Giolito needs time working with Coop and Shields badly. Dam8610
Does Kopech get to AAA this year?
bmags
Good lawd! Eloy follows him up to go 3-4 with a hr and 2 doubles. Mercy!
maxjusttyped
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 20, 2017 -> 08:36 PM) Hope not, need to watch innings He's at 90 after tonight's start. If ~120 is the limit, promoting him to Charlotte after the Sox call up Lopez would make sense. But I understand the rationale behind keeping him in AA the entire season, too. OmarComing25
Dickman is also 1-3 with a double. Just saw Kopech's line too. 0BB in 7 innings, awesome.
Jake
Kopech hasn't had a start with fewer than 2 BB. Looking like he'll beat that unless he has a rotten 8th inning (at 85 pitches, I suppose he'll go into the 8th).
winninguglyin83
Kopech pitching seven scoreless innings with no walks and eight Ks, throwing 62 of 85 pitches for strikes the most encouraging development of the night. This is the guy who can become a true #1 with star quality.
Donaldo
DSL... Josue Guerrero now hitting .191 after an 0-4 (3 Ks) Ramon Beltre had 3 hits Ulises Martinez and Jorgen Rosas had 2 hits each Craig Dedelow 3-7 1HR 2RBI for GF.

chitownsportsfan
QUOTE (winninguglyin83 @ Jul 20, 2017 -> 08:47 PM) Kopech pitching seven scoreless innings with no walks and eight Ks, throwing 62 of 85 pitches for strikes the most encouraging development of the night. This is the guy who can become a true #1 with star quality. I think he's become a bit lost in the shuffle but there's no doubt that he has had a great year. Doing what he's doing at his age in AA is incredibly impressive.

chitownsportsfan
QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 20, 2017 -> 08:59 PM) Bad news: W-S lost their lead Good news: means more Eloy Can't believe the Sox tortured us with Moncada up last night, then their moronic f***ing long inning prevents him from getting a 4th PA before the monsoon, then they have the audacity to have a scheduled off day today. At least the farm is as exciting as I've ever seen it.
