SnB
I love the florida marlins team this year. With castillo and pierre at the top, they're lethal. I think castillo is a FA and the sox need to go for him, maybe let him play short. Having that kind of speed at the top is EXACTLY the kind of offense they should be looking for, no tejada. We don't need anymore HR hitters.
Rowand44
I completely agree, I'm tired of having a clump of homerun hitters throughout the whole lineup, hopefully kw will get rid of some of these homerun hitters and get the speed that can win this franchise some baseball games, Luis Castillo would be absolutely amazing, but don't count on it. Wise Master Buehrle
2 Words, Kazui Matsui If the Sox at least make an effort to get him, I'd be pleased. This is who they need.

Nokona
30/30. They say he's quicker then Ichrio with more pop. And he can play D.

whitesox247
Speed is a must. Look at all the playoff teams and you'll see trend of great, speedy duos at the top: Yankees: Soriano, Jeter Twins: Stewart, Rivas Oakland: Ellis, Hattenburg Boston: Damon, Walker Braves: Furcal, Giles Cubs: Lofton, Grudzielanek (maybe not so much right there) Giants: Durham, Grissom Marlins: Pierre, Castillo
Chisoxfn
I've pretty much decided if the Sox are gonna spend the money do it on Cabrerra/Castillo. I'd rather have those two then Matsui and Miles/Harris/Whoever at 2nd.

bulokis
I want Castillo here better than Robbie. He is great but Castillo is younger than Robbie. We would spend the same amount of money anyway so why go with the younger guy. Matsui will be good at short but dont think we can afford him. The guy I really like at short is Renteria. Who can be our speedy guy at center? Who is available?

After his season this year, I think Renteria will cost us alot more than we'll pay...Matsui probably would also, but I just like all the potentially good things that could come with having Matsui here at shortstop. greg775
i agree we need some more speed, but don't dispute the fact we need to score runs lest we flame out in the playoffs like in the past. I say keep one of the Big 3, Thomas, Konerko and Everett and let the other 2 go.
The Bones
I'm with Jason. I'm for the idea of getting Castillo and Cabrera rather than just Matsui or Tejada and whoever at second.
DBAHO
Does every1 really want Robbie Alomar back next year? I mean I thought it was quite interesting he only hit bout .235 in August and only .211 in September. Doubt we'd get Castillo though, I think he'll go to da Padres with em spending money bf opening their new ball park. We need guys who can get on base and then can use their speed.
