He's 6-21 with a double and a walk. It's not that exceptional and it doesn't negate the pre-ASB lousiness.

I meant it more as he is hitting the ball better. And I know it doesn't negate anything, but my point is that he's at least trending upward a bit

Fair enough. I can appreciate the optimism, but he just seems soooooo far away from the very solid player we saw last year. I want him to make it because he seems like an easy player to root for, but I keep having Gordo flashbacks.

Didn't shields used to be actually good at one point? Like an ace for the Rays? How has he become so horrible?

I'm surprised guys like Holland and Shields risk their health at this stage of their lives. Both are set for life financially, but they are so bad they could EASILY take a line drive off the head at any moment. It's not worth it. If they love pitching, go pitch in the independent league like Scott Carroll with KC's TBones.

Anderson is unimpressive in so many ways right now....

Hopefully he figures out.. because "evidently" he has great talent.

They need to send him down and forget about him for a couple months, til spring training. Let him properly mourn the death of his loved one and start again next spring.

Yeah no way do you lose three months of development for a player so they can mourn.

Would someone please tell Hawk his name is Yoan Moncada not Yolmer Sanchez

Someone please tell hawk that Yolmer is the DH. This is embarrassing

People don't seem to like Benetti, but I cannot listen to Hawk because of examples like this. Road games are on mute for me. The game has completely passed him by.

Benetti would be fine if he just loses the corny jokes. Hawk is not having a good night.
