oldsox
Cubs smell blood in the water. To the White Sox: Please don't roll over for these guys. Please don't let them break you down like a shotgun. Please don't listen to our Tanksters. Please do something to urinate Cub fans. Please win a game.
flavum
I want the Sox to get the highest pick possible next year, but for the next four days, I hope the White Sox win each and every game with four quality starts and Yoan Moncada raking doubles and homers. Bob Sacamano
It seems like no matter how each team is, they split the season series. I'm predicting 2-2. Edited July 24, 2017 by soxfan2014
InTheDriversSeat
It seems like no matter how each team is, they split the season series. I'm predicting 2-2. If the White Sox and Cubs split the series, White Sox get to keep the Crosstown Cup because a tie goes to the winner of the previous year. That's all I care about: keeping the Crosstown Cup! . flavum
6 times they've gone 2-2 or 3-3. 2000, 2002, 2005, 2008, 2015, 2016 All time, Sox lead 57-51. 30-24 at home 27-27 at Wrigley

Bob Sacamano
Want the Sox to win at least 2 but if they lose 3 or all 4, at least it helps the tank. Edited July 24, 2017 by soxfan2014
pettie4sox
yawn, who cares about this series... I hope the Sox lose all four. Draft picks > beating the cubs.
Dick Allen
Why not beat the Cubs? What's the deal with the draft picks? The Sox don't have to finish 25 games behind the second worst record. Beat the Cubs, help them not make the playoffs. The losses will continue, but they will win some games. Look at the roster. Besides, if the second or third pick isn't good enough to pick an impact player, then losing for draft picks makes very little sense. flavum
I'm good with anything, but for me, if some miracle happens where they give the Cubs four losses and they lose the division by a game, that would be pretty awesome. That said, the Cubs will win 3 or 4, and then it'll be over. Then back to trade deadline stuff.

Dick Allen
Pelfrey has the lowest ERA in the Sox rotation. Couple that with the bullpen, add subtracting Swarzak, there is no hope of this team even if you want them to win of not getting a top 3 pick in the draft. The losing mission is already accomplished. 2 or 3 game winning streaks will almost be miracles. Edited July 24, 2017 by Dick Allen
iamshack
This stuff drives me crazy, folks. Good news: The White Sox will try to win the games. Better news: The White Sox suck and so they will prolly lose anyways. Best news: Cheer for whatever the hell you want - it doesn't make a damned difference. flavum
I kinda look at the Brewers as a team the Sox could be in two years. Just not the right time to deplete their own farm system for a small chance at winning. Next year should be that time.
