Knackattack
Sure throwing a b**** fit about getting aced twice. Too close to take at this point in the game it's his own fault
southsider2k5
QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 24, 2017 -> 04:40 PM) Those last 2 pitches were strikes. Not sure what Contreras is arguing about. The umpire has called that pitch falling off of the outside edge of the outside corner to RH hitters the entire game.

greg775
Great game. Sox certainly came to play ball. Shows what a good starting pitching performance can do and a good close job by Anthony. The stuff in between was great, but in this day and age u ain't winning squat without good starting pitching, good closer and good defense baby! Sox can go enjoy a nice steak dinner now or get drunk, whichever they choose! Nice to beat the Cub in their arena!

steveno89
QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 24, 2017 -> 04:44 PM) Swarzak is incredibly versatile this year. Had to be impressed with Swarzak today. His stuff has been very good this season, 94-96 mph fastball, quality slider as well, good location. He could certainly help a contender's pen for a stretch run

caulfield12
The k's today and two near defensive miscues today weren't good...but he hasn't generally looked intimidated out there. Easy to becswallowed up by that environment in Wrigley, too. At any rate, both Yoan and Anderson are going to get all the time in the world to prove themselves, so the first thing they're going to have to iron out is communication, whether it's Timmy (or Engel), they have to start taking charge more.
