Texsox
Frank is mentioned in other threads speculating on the team's roster for next year. I happen to believe the greatest Sox player of the past 50 years deserves his own thread and deserves to finish his career as a White Sox. 1549
Frank has had a great career and will go down as my favirote player not named Bobby Thigpen. If we decide to keep him until he retires, great. If we decide its time to move on, fine.

elrockinMT
Greatest Sox play ever! He is most certainly right up there as one of the best. I hope he stays in Chicago.
DonkeyKongerko
This season may just seal Frank's status as first-ballot HOF. Any more seasons like 2003 are just icing on the cake. 500 HR is within his capability too.
Soxplosion
I think he can definitely make 500...
Capn12
I think Frank can make it to 500 HRs, I just think that the last 40-50 may be with a different team....and while not THE best Sox player ever, he is definately Top 5 in this franchises history. greg775
I don't think Frank wants to go anywhere. He's comfortable here. Do you all agree? I'd say he doesn't want to mess with another city.
YASNY
Well, the speculation I'm hearing is that if Frank declines the $6 million option, the Sox will let him walk. Reinsdorf may have other ideas, but who knows?
Al Lopez Ghost (old)
He's far and away the best White Sox position player of all time. I still wouldn't be surprised if he's hit his last home run for the White Sox.
DBAHO
If Colon walks, and we don't resign Alomar or Jurassic Carl, then I think he'll start walkin. Deserves to finish his career here though.
Texsox
I think he also deserves a chance to be battling for a WS every year for the next few. If the team does come back as a shell of itself I could understand him shopping around.
southsider2k5
It won't be too long before we know what Franks move is. He has until 5 days after the world series ends to make up his mind.

greg775
Six mill ain't too bad. Think anybody will offer him more? No offense to Frank, but he's not too spiffy at first base, so that eliminates the NL. Maybe Baltimore will fork over the dough.
DonkeyKongerko
Baltimore hopefully smart enough to spend their money on the future and Vladdy and leave the Big Hurt alone.

IF Thomas were to leave, Los Angeles is the first place to look for him. I'd look good in 'Dodger Blue', the cap would match my eyes. I wonder if they have a message board? Dick Allen
I have a feeling Frank is going to turn down the $6 million, the White Sox will pass on the $8 million, making Frank a free agent. Tellum and JR will then go back to the drawing board, and Frank will get new contract with the White Sox. He did show that he could still play first base last season. I would think his biggest problem going to the NL would be that there are a lot more bunts, and because of his bad shoulder, he cannot throw. That could really cause a lot of problems. LA is the obvious choice, Danny Evans is there, at least for now, and they need offense.
DBAHO
Hopefully, Baltimore is smart enough to trade for Konerko. I'd luv to be able to steal Ainsworth or even Moss for Konerko from the O's. Dount they're that stupid though but I think Paulie will be wearing a Oriole or Dodger uniform in 2004. I even think he was resgined to that fact as well. I think we are stuck with Paulie. Hopefully the cortisone shots last a little longer next season.

No way in hell. I believe he will be back to the .300 mark with his career average power numbers (or better) next year as those things going on in the background (stuff stated here - the house thing (my house is being rebuilt at this time so I can tell you it is intensely stressful), the engagement thing (I have never known a man to get engaged and not freak out about it in some way, shape or form). Sorry, but I have a hard time believing 4 years is a fluke and this past season is the truth. Before someone mentions about being tossed between two teams prior to getting here, neither team needed a firstbaseman (the dodgers had Karros and the Reds had Casey) and if I understood some articles I've read, the Reds picked up with the intentions of using him in a trade. Be that as it may, I wouldn't mind seeing PK in Dodger Blue as long as we hold onto Daubach (although, it seems he may not be interested in returning). Thomas will exercise his free agent clause. If Danny Evans stays G.M. that's where Frank will go. I think KW is all but gone, and Frank will finish his career here. I don't know of Thomas having a bad shoulder at all, just a 'mental thing' about throwing from 1st to 2nd with a runner on the way. If he hit 2 or 3 in the head as they got to 2nd, it might cost a base, or a run or two, but they'd start sliding a little further out of the base path pretty quick. I read somewhere about 10 years back, that Frank fell out of a tree or something like that as a kid. It supposedly screwed up his shoulder, and that's why he has a funky throwing motion and no confidence as to where its going to go when he lets the ball go. It might have been a football injury, I can't quite remember.
