Eminor3rd
Other pitcher is Dietrich Enns. Under the radar guy who has been good at every level. No one seems to know why he's never gotten a shot.

TheTruth05
Is it in bad taste to flip a player you recently traded for? Like would Atlanta be hesitant to deal with the Twins again after this?

Jose Abreu
That's a great trade for Minnesota. Littell is quite good
GenericUserName
So this essentially turned into a three way trade with the Twins giving money and some prospects for better prospects? I wonder if in this day and age where players seem to be worth only as much as their surplus value if we'll see more three way trades take this template. Find a rebuilding team with a low payroll that can take on some of the salary in return for a prospect and nothing else. Could be the solution to something like a Verlander trade. bmags
Things you wouldn't have guessed 10 years ago - the twins sending money to the Yankees.

I kind of think that you are looking too much into this. This is simply a team (Twins) who were buyers and then had a terrible week and both Cleveland and KC had great weeks, so they instantly became sellers. They made a smart move selling their one bought chip. Their time to rise was never this year, but it is coming soon for them (hopefully). BlackSox13
Cashman has done a good job of getting his team help while not giving up top prospects. It's going to take some time to get used to their new approach.
steveno89
QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Jul 30, 2017 -> 02:55 PM) Cashman has done a good job of getting his team help while not giving up top prospects. It's going to take some time to get used to their new approach. Cashman feels that his window is just beginning, unlike Epstein knowing the cubs window is now and the next couple seasons. Hence not surrendering his top prospects that he cannot afford to deal.

Right and this approach is much different than the Yanks of old when they were more than eager to trade talent for proven veterans.
kwolf68
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jul 30, 2017 -> 11:48 AM) That's a great trade for Minnesota. Littell is quite good He is, but because he doesn't throw 100 miles per hour some considered him "expendable". Like someone else said on this (or some other) thread all Littell does is send batters back to the dugout. If Tom Glavine were a prospect today he'd wouldn't even make a team's Top 20 list, but few were better than that guy.
