Lopez to pitch for Sox on Friday?

This quote from Hahn was from a few minutes ago at a sabermetrics seminar. Sure sounds like Reynaldo will be pitching Friday night vs. KC at GRF. Lines up with his current schedule as I believe he is supposed to pitch Sunday for Charlotte.

Asked about pitching prospects being called up, Hahn said "Maybe buy tickets for Friday night."

The future is slowly but surely arriving. Lopez to get his first taste in a Sox uni, likely to stay there, Giolito probably here in September, then here to stay. More than half of our future projected rotation will be here for good starting in September (Rodon, Lopez, Giolito). I'm guessing Kopech gets called up next year at some point, with Dunning not far behind him. Barring injuries, the Sox future rotation is not far away, and can you imagine how excited Coop must be?

I doubt they bring Giolito up. I just don't see a compelling reason.

Work with Coop and Shields

It's a reason I just don't see it compelling. I'd rather him continue to build confidence in his new mechanics without any MLB pressure. I don't really mind either way but personally unless they really want him to work with Cooper for his last few starts just keep in AAA.

Would you rather just have him sit at home doing nothing? Knights last game is 9/4.
