steveno89
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 8, 2017 -> 11:18 AM) X-rays were negative. https://twitter.com/CSNHayes/status/894965458985725952 Lets hope he can put these nagging injuries behind him and remain healthy. He needs to be ready to go in Kannapolis in 2018.
chitownsportsfan
QUOTE (steveno89 @ Aug 8, 2017 -> 12:20 PM) Lets hope he can put these nagging injuries behind him and remain healthy. He needs to be ready to go in Kannapolis in 2018. He'll be fine. A sprained ankle and non surgery required meniscus injury are nothing long term. That said, this kid doesn't need to be running wild stealing bases in the Dominican League.
Boopa1219
Can't blame the Sox for being overtly cautious on kid that they just spent $52M on
Quin
QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Aug 8, 2017 -> 01:56 PM) Can't blame the Sox for being overtly cautious on kid that they just spent $52M on This. The injuries are the minor-est of injuries and he could probably just rest for a couple days. But it's much better to be cautious.
southsider2k5
QUOTE (Quin @ Aug 8, 2017 -> 01:29 PM) This. The injuries are the minor-est of injuries and he could probably just rest for a couple days. But it's much better to be cautious. Realistically, there isn't any need to push him through it. This season is literally just about getting him back into baseball shape. Letting a minor injury turn into a nagging injury does the opposite of that. ChiSox59
I don't know what the playing conditions are like in the DSL, but I wouldn't be surprised if the outfields were s***. Probably wouldn't hurt to get him on some real playing surfaces.
bmags
I'm probably wrong but I can see a case that the team owned facilities like AZL and DSL may be better than the affiliates. Sox DSL facility is pretty new isn't it? Dude just needs to play and play the game the way he wants. Small injuries like this may happen. But people are acting like he needs to be wrapped in peanuts playing DH in the DSL like it's a field in mutant football league.
