What if I told you Moncada is no Corey Bellinger which is what I was kind of hopping for.

Let's just hope that Boston scout wasn't right about Moncada being a bit of a head case at the plate.

Mike Trout is 2011:

July: 43 AB's, .163 AVG, .213 OBP

August: 25 AB's, .400 AVG, .464 OBP

September: 55 AB's, .182 AVG, .250 OBP

123 AB's, .220 AVG, .250 OBP

I think you are remembering wrong...

Well, I saw him in August!

Hmm never heard that before. I do wonder why he wears the face protector. Don't see many wearing that. I mean I guess you can see good with it on and does protect your face but hard to describe how I feel about it. Seems logical but out of place.

Just ugly from Yoan. Has no idea how to protect and his swing from right side is not MLB caliber

Think Kopech will end up the prize of that trade. But that sucks because he can't really exceed Sale, so we'll have ended up trading Sale for a guy who might approach his talents, a highly touted MIer who strikes out way too much and s***tily switch hits, and two longshot back end pieces.

I don't honestly think this will end up a positive rebuilding trade for us.

I said that a while back and was criticized. IOW, I agree.

Moncada obviously has a lot of trouble hitting a breaking pitch. So that's what he will be seeing. Hope he figures it out.

Shin splints, collision with Garcia, thumb injury

Less than 150 MLB AB's

Been in a new city for less than a month

Still holding a .320 OBP

But lets completely write him off and already talk about how the Sale trade was a mistake.

^^ I wish you could "Like" posts.

 next year is going to be fun for some sox fans as they aren't handling the ups and downs of a team that had actual major leaguers, next year outside of Abreu, Rodon, Anderson and the few FA this is going to be a green team.

There's always huge risk any time you acquire the #1 prospect in baseball, the likely #1 2018 pitching prospect in baseball. Hahn shoulda aimed higher
