flavum
If the Royals want to get back in it, they need to sweep the Twins (win the three remaining) and White Sox at home. If they sweep the Twins this weekend, the whole group of seven contenders have a shot. Edited September 8, 2017 by flavum

flavum
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 14, 2017 -> 10:45 PM) If baseball has taught me anything, the s***ty 2nd wild card is totally gonna upset the Indians in the ALDS. It's a nice consolation prize, but hopefully it's Yankees-Indians, Red Sox-Astros...and then Astros-Indians. NL--If the Dbacks beat the Dodgers, cool. Rockies? Not so much. flavum
The Red Sox have a 3 game lead over the Yankees in the AL East. The Yankees have a 3 game lead over the Twins for the 1st Wildcard. The Twins have a 3 game lead over the Angels for the 2nd Wildcard. Twins have 7 left with the Tigers. Game over. I foresee at least 5 losses for LAA and at least 5 wins for MIN, which would mean the Angels would have to go 9-1 and the Twins would have to go 1-9 for LAA to catch them. That thing's over. flavum
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Sep 16, 2017 -> 03:44 PM) I foresee at least 5 losses for LAA and at least 5 wins for MIN, which would mean the Angels would have to go 9-1 and the Twins would have to go 1-9 for LAA to catch them. That thing's over. You think the Twins are going to NY and sweeping them? Bold. I could see the Twins going 7-8 and the Angels going 9-6 for the tie at 84-78, but the Twins should win this 75% of the time.

BlackSox13
ESPN has a good double header this evening. Twinkies @ Yankees 5:00CT and then Cleveland @ Angels 8:00CT. I really need a day to just watch some exciting baseball. I'll admit, outside of the games I've been to this year, I honestly haven't watched much of the Sox or any other baseball this year for that matter, even though I've followed our team and all the moves we've made and read this site everyday. I can relate. I unplugged the cable from my TV years ago and followed on the net. For some unknown reason, the day of the first Sox Cubs game I decided to plug the cable back in and enjoy the only game I love. Been watching baseball pretty much every day since then. Forgot how relaxing it is to watch baseball. It's been therapeutic for the aches and pains. Edited September 19, 2017 by BlackSox13

BlackSox13
Judge just hit #45 to make it a 3-2 Twinkies lead in the 3rd. As I was typing that, Sanchez just went yard to tie the game at 3.
flavum
Twins suck in NY no matter the roster. Can we just skip to Astros-Indians and Nationals-Dodgers and send everyone else home?
