Season in Review: 2017 AZL White Sox

As we do every year, we will post a Season in Review for each affiliate. We're starting with this one on the AZL White Sox, who had some solid young talent and just missed the playoffs. See how the youngest stateside affiliate's players did in 2017 - some of these guys will be with full season clubs next year.

Anything more to say on Saucedo, heh

I would put money that FutureSox is probably the only publication in existence that talked about Ryan Lewis.

I mean, we didn't either. Who is Ryan Lewis?

Do you mean Zach Lewis? The one who's mother complained on our Facebook page that we didn't talk about him enough in the article?

Lol, seriously? Wow, I feel bad for the kid.

Great work again by the future Sox crew. Always enjoy reading up on the progress of Sox prospects.

Looking ahead to 2018. Am I correct in thinking Dunning and Rose move to AA with Burger moving to WS?

The have only moved a few guys here at 17. That is probably the biggest endorsement of Sosa that I can give.

Right, but so were Reyes and Nunez. And he performed better than both. I just want an idea of what they think they have here.

The only other player I can think of they moved here at 17 is Micker. It seems to me they must see something if he is in that kind of company.

You are right Nunez was actually 18, but Franklin Reyes was 17 in AZL last year.

Very excited about Sosa. It's about time the Sox have an international prospect hit. It hurts seeing the cubs get guys like Torres and Eloy and we get back squat. I won't mention he who must not be named. It is too painful to see him succeeding as we watch shields pitch.

I meant other as in, In addition to the players you listed, Micker Adolfo was the only OTHER one I could think of.

Yeah, kinda weird but Alfaro actually played in AZL at 17 and then went to DSL for his 18 season.

But again, that was a typically bad 17 year old stateside season, with a .450 OPS.

It looks like at least 1 a class is put stateside. It is interesting that they chose him over Joseu.
