jenksycat
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Oct 5, 2017 -> 05:25 PM) Sale is gassed. Read some story this year that Sale went away from the White Sox plan the last couple years of keeping his effort lower so he'd last longer into the season. BlackSox13
Sale's September starts made me leery of how he would perform in the playoffs. It's just one start against a very good offense but damn did he s*** the bed today. I wonder what Boston fans are saying.

hi8is
Sorry Sale but I sincerely hope that you leaving our Sox turns out to be one of the best moves in franchise history. Peace out hommie.
Dam8610
While I'm disappointed by the result, I'm not at all surprised. Sale has always been mediocre to bad after August. Why did anyone think the postseason would change that?

BlackSox13
Betts, WTF was that? He looked like an NFL QB on that. Astros pouring it on now. Mercy!
almagest
Astros making the Red Sox look like they don't belong in the postseason so far. Red Sox have a pretty weak pitching staff so this isn't too surprising, though.

BlackSox13
Peacock vs Fister in Boston @ 1:30 on FS1 My ass will be firmly planted to watch the Astros close out this series today. The streets of Boston will be littered with drunk BoSux fans wallowing in their collective misery singing Flogging Molly tunes.

hi8is
Well... looks like we might have ourselves a series after all here. It would be so cool to see Sale / Verlander in a game 5 win or go home.

Pants Rowland
Was listening to this game on the radio a bit yesterday. How can they assign a Boston game to Berman? He is such an insufferable homeboy with the pro-Red Sox/Fenway drivel he spews. When Boston went up 4-3, he made the very important point that the rally that inning guaranteed the Fenway crowd would now be into the game for a full 9 innings. Great analysis, Chris.
