aboz56
Kip fan, Any reason you have Corwin Malone on your sig? He's about as close to the majors as Carlos "Tub of Goo" Castillo.... He finished the season on a positive note and from what I hear he has some great stuff and amazing talent. I was just kidding, just thought it was interesting to see him on a sig. Hope he reaches his potential that he showed during his breakout season a few years back.
DonkeyKongerko
Cubby fever will die down soon enough. I can still remember how dead I felt the day of game 3 of the 2000 ALDS when I could tell the Sox had almost no chance.
JUGGERNAUT
SOX in the news: 1) KW says we need to build a team of grinders. Noted: Everett & Lee followed by Maggs, Val, & Crede. Missing of course was Koneko & Thomas. 2) KW praises Thomas. Thomas has 5 days after the World Series to either accept or decline the 6MIL option. If he declines, he's gawn. There's no way the SOX can afford the 8MIL next yr. 3) KW praises the Twinks. Says 80% of the Twinks are grinders. They were in awe of the SOX talent but played the game the way it's suppose to be played. Hustle, good D, & timely hits. 4) KW notes the SOX have too many big bats that are highly susceptible to changeups & curves. This was one explanation of why the SOX only went 15-17 vs the AL least. Now that's shocking & we haven't talked much about it. The SOX finished 11-8 vs Det, which means they were only 4-9 vs the rest of the AL least (TB, TEX). DonkeyKongerko
I want grinders. I really don't think Carlos and Everett are really your protypical grinders. I want a guy that gets on base and annoys the hell out of the opposition. Sort of how Ichiro destroys us every time we play Seattle.

Detroit is in the AL Central... <scratching my head on that one> AL least = DET, TAM, & TEX. 11-8 vs DET, 3-3 vs TB, 3-4 vs TEX, 17-15 (lousy scrubune! They got the record wrong!) But still 17-15 vs the AL worst is not something to write home to Mom about.

JUGGERNAUT
This is unreal. BL 0 outs again. Simon K's. 1 out. ORTIZ reminds you a little of BJ McD.

JUGGERNAUT
If he gets out of this then he is promoted to Mega Stud. An easy DP ball with no speed at 1st, goes for naught because of an error. 2 outs. Crap. Wood just hit a 2 run 2B. 3-1 scrubs. What's Wood worth in his final yr as an RFA?
DonkeyKongerko
Sure Ortiz schooled Wood last time so he grooves him a pitch and Wood knocks in 2 on a double. f***

DonkeyKongerko
It hurts to say this but the Cubs are looking good tonight. If they pull it out, Twins win, Cubs win, Sox not playing...This could be a rough couple of days.
aboz56
Do the Braves remind you of the White Sox? No, we don't choke that much. Hell at least we aren't teases and make the damn playoffs every season only to lose year in and year out. The Braves are just embarassing. Molto
this game is terrible, neither team should deserve to win. both pitchers have looked pretty bad, and both offense's have looked worst. Cubs had chance after chance to score, yet had to wait for an error and hit by Wood to do it. And the Braves? They are doing the one thing you can't do against Wood, that is swing. 70% of his strikes are balls, but thanks to the Braves offense, he's getting away with it. I'm glad I'm no longer watching it.
