oldsox Posted October 8, 2017 Share Posted October 8, 2017 That was good, Mark. I remember Landis so well in 1959. He started the season batting eighth, and after a month or so he started to hit a little bit and they moved him up a notch. At the end of the season, he was hitting third and was probably the best player on that team in second half. Lots of clutch hits late in games. Alive as far as I can tell- Luis Aparicio Jim Rivera Johnny Romano Sammy Esposito Lou Skizas Joe Hicks JC Martin Barry Latman Ken McBride Rudy Arias Joe Stanka Gary Peters Claude Raymond 13 alive. 27 dead.
