Thats why you can't evaluate only based on box scores. No doubt that Eloy has better tools as a hitter than Ocuna.

Tough call at this point on whether a team would rather have Acuna or Jimenez. Acuna has the better all around tools with speed and fielding, and could be a potential 30-30 guy in center field.

Jimenez currently has the better hit tool and projects to have better power.

Callis said it's very close, but he would lean Acuna due to the better speed and glove. Jimenez could very well be a player that absolutely tears the cover off the ball in 2018 as he starts to hone his power potential.

We'll just have to settle for our 30/30 guy being at 2b.

Right on cue in Longenhagen's chat today.

Devon

12:31 Eric, who do you prefer offensively: Acuna or Eloy?

Eric A Longenhagen

12:32 I guess Eloy. Acuna is still so young that he gets his lunch money taken by guys who can sequence well (go watch what Stinnett did to him in the Fall Stars game) where as Eloy's approach is more MLB-ready.

Crazy! I firmly stand by this as proof in quantum physics.

If we didn't have Robert in the system, I would move Jimenez for Acuna.

Just saw this short video of him recorded during a game in booth right after the trade:

The kid reminds me of a zen master monk... like a young, hip, athletic Thich Nhat Hahn. That instantly makes him shoot up my favorite player rankings.

??????

Watched that clip earlier today as well while perusing the Sox site. Kid has a really good head on his shoulders.

Thich Nhat Hahn
