bmags
Former major leaguer Everett Teaford, a pro scout for Houston since the beginning of 2016, has left the Astros for a position with the White Sox on their player development staff.— Jake Kaplan (@jakemkaplan) November 28, 2017 Houston has been shedding scouts, I'm assuming they are replacing them with analysts. Anyhoo, in August when that started we talked about wanting sox to add those guys. it appears we have added one.

southsider2k5
Will be interesting to see what slant on analytics he brings over. Houston really believes in their plan.
bmags
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 28, 2017 -> 01:41 PM) Will be interesting to see what slant on analytics he brings over. Houston really believes in their plan. Let's just say I' hope he gets to download what houston was doing with pro scouting even though he's moving into player development. But I'm sure we have no idea how big player dev has been built out last year. Would be interesting things to get out of soxfest.

Yep. Good move. Poach away. Also they probably had ot give him a nice little salary/position boost to get him to leave the 'Stros. Good to see the resources saved on the MLB payroll being invested when it makes sense back into the club.
