Man can hit. Had a breakout year in 2016 but questions about his glove. Catching depth is certainly not a bad thing. He likely gets placed in AAA? If this was the NFL we'd still be on pick 8 or 9 in the 1st round for sure..

It was pure heaven when the MLB draft moved at this speed with the conference call then they went and f***ed it up.

flavum
QUOTE (Kalapse @ Dec 14, 2017 -> 08:35 AM) It was pure heaven when the MLB draft moved at this speed with the conference call then they went and f***ed it up. I don't mind the first night TV show. First round and sandwich picks, although it should be a little faster that night too. The rest of the draft should be knocked out fast like this on the second day. Three days is stupid.

Dick Allen
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 14, 2017 -> 08:42 AM) That's terrible unless were also buying Burdi It was a little weird the Sox took an OF. They have plenty of those types for 2018. I am a bit shocked the organization that made us watch Dylan Covey, didn't draft a couple of these other pitchers with a wide open bullpen. Chicago White Sox
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 14, 2017 -> 09:17 AM) GarPax would sell this pick. Build up some capital with/for ownership. And it looks like we have a winner!
steveno89
QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 14, 2017 -> 09:47 AM) I'm convinced Hahn has been kidnapped and someone else has taken over last 24 hours With our bullpen in shambles I'm surprised we didn't roll the dice on an arm we can test out. To end up with a minor league catcher and cash doesn't seem all that great. Hell, roll the dice on Burch Smith as a potential starter/bullpen arm? rowand's rowdies
So which 2 wins last season do we blame for not getting Burdi? Picking an OFer to trade for cash to an AL team with a wide open bullpen and a few bech spots open as well? Can anyone explain this logically? What am I missing?
